I've read the rumored match for Lesnar at WM 33 is Shane Mcmahon.
Personally I have no interest in that match if that's what their plan is.

No way, why would they do that? It would make more sense for Shane vs Lesnar at Survivor Series then Goldberg vs Lesnar. I would look forward to both though. |

If they do, it I'm just glad it might happen at Survivor Series. I hate this whole philosophy of saving everything for Mania, at the expense of the rest of the year.

Bill Goldberg's ESPN SportsCenter interview came with no announcement on his WWE return last night. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter insists the match is still scheduled for the Survivor Series pay-per-view on November 20th, unless plans have fallen apart. As of Tuesday, the match was considered to be confirmed and locked in. As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross also reported this week that his reliable source relayed the same information.
The story is that Vince McMahon has had the match scheduled but has not been very gung-ho about doing it. It was also noted that while WWE is ready to use Goldberg once again, there are still a lot of negative feelings and politics regarding him.
There are several reasons for doing the match at Survivor Series. WWE wants to do the match to help promote the WWE 2K17 video game and Survivor Series is the best option for that plan. Also, future opponents for Lesnar are said to be locked in and apparently one of those opponents is Shane McMahon, perhaps for WrestleMania 33. WWE officials were not willing to change Lesnar's WrestleMania plans for Goldberg.
Regarding the Lesnar vs. Goldberg match, this is reportedly a one-off that is not leading to any kind of future rematch between the two.

They want Shane vs Brock at Mania I like both matches, but if I had to choose one to be at mania I would choose Goldberg vs lesnar. Is Goldberg going to lose then Shane will win? |

Not a fan at all of another Brock .Vs Goldberg match up with the first go around being the shits and the fact now that Brock is a lazy SOB and a shell of his former self and god only know what type of in ring work and shape Goldberg is in with him not having a match in twelve plus years and damn near 50.I am fine with Goldberg returning and having a one off match or a handful of matches depending on how he looks in the ring and if the fans are behind it but again him facing off against Brock is going to be a train wreck.I get its two marque names and names that paired together in a match could get some main stream buzz and maybe even bring back some of the older WCW fans and early 00's but again its more then likely going to be one if not the worst match of the year.
I really felt if Goldberg was to return and have another match it should be with a young guy who could carry him at the very least to a solid outing i.e. Rollins/Sting as a prime example.So having Goldberg return to face Rollins(not so much now with the babyface turn) or Styles would have been the way to go.Either man could more then likely carry the match and sell like crazy and make Goldberg look good while giving everyone a solid match and something Goldberg could proud of and retire on a match better note.
As far as Brock/Shane goes at WM 33 thats a major pass,not interested at all in seeing shane take and ass whooping and losing to the overrated Lesnar.No real interest as well in terms of and actual storyline.If Shane is hard on for a marque match up at WM 33 he should give the fans what they really want and something most would be looking forward to with a match up against Triple H,a storyline that rights itself and also has a lot of legit real life drama tied to it or a match against a returning Kurt Angle.

If Shane somehow/someway defeats Brock, it will s*** on everyone that Brock has defeated over the last two plus years. Including Taker.
Give me a (heel) Ambrose vs Shane in a Hardcore Match. And Brock vs Roman in a WM rematch.

I don't think Goldberg would sign a one off deal to come in and lose to Brock Lesnar.. Unless he's getting a literal dump truck full of money.

Because of their inability to make new stars. Not sure what that has to do with what I said. That the reason they are do matches like this because they are desperate for star power. Other than John Cena what stars have they made over the last 10 years. other them maybe the shield guys. |
