Legends, hands down, best packaging. I don't collect MOC but Legends always made me consider leaving in package. Never even once did I ever second guess ripping open an elite box, sans Magnum TA because of the Legends packaging. I like the Legends packaging as well. They're at least my favorite of the new packaging style, that's for sure.

12-17 hands down.
Its the one area Jakks kills Mattel. The Classic Superstars boxing is the best wrestling figure boxing we have seen IMO.

I thought the blue boxes were hideous. Both kinds, especially that first one from E25-31. Hideous. I hated the corresponding blue/orange basic and two pack cards. They didn't give that "wrestling" vibe.
I do like the 2016-17 packages. If only they used tougher cardboard. Most elites I find look like someone stepped on the backs of them.
The very first elite boxes were like indestructible.

This is sort of off topic but just curious, why did these action figures all swap over to these type boxes? Just makes the swap outs so simple a 5 year old could do it. Jakks may have been easy too. I just don't remember seeing so many
I just picked up a Banshee and Hope Summers Has to Marvel Legends, and similar to Mattel WWE Legends and DCUC figures, would be very, very tough to swap out and return. Is that much space really being saved at retail with these window boxes?
As for this thread I'll go with the E39-E45/46 as my favorite. But none compare to the WWE Legends packaging

Not a MOC collector but changing the packaging kills the 'flow' for display purposes. Look at a Jakks classic superstars MOC collection compared to a Mattel one. Jakks looks uniform while Mattel looks like a bunch of different sets thrown together. Again, I don't collect MOC so it really doesn't matter to me.

Yes it did. Look at the placement of the accessory information and the style of render on the back Oh yeah. I did notice the different placement of the accessory info I forgot. It's pretty subtle changes but you are right They seem to do packaging sets for 2 years: make a box and then slightly change next year. They've done it every year. 2010 & 2011, 2012 & 2013, 2014 & 2015, and 2016 & 2017. '14-'15 was probably the biggest change between a two year set because the boxes got much smaller

First off I don't collect MOC so it's not that big of a deal, but I like the current packaging because it's easier to open and get to the figure.
I like the minimal design. Wish it was more rectangular though. Seems like there is still a bit of wasted space.

I vote a change to the Amazon Mankind, TRU Vince and TRU Triple H. Lots of space saved then!
I'm a loose collector so it really doesn't matter to me. I've only kept a handful of figures MOC

Why does the new style packaging have to have a slanted canopy? I can't tower them anymore.

The packages starting, respectively, with Elite 1 and Elite 12 would be my favorite ones.
I loved seeing those original elite packages, with the window in the back because it was pretty unique. You truly got the sense that you were buying a special figure that, with the neat accessories and cloth goods (which were often the reason why that back window was utilized, allowing you to see detail on the back of a shirt/jacket/robe) was very fitting of the 'elite' line name. I still have a mint elite 4 Kane, just because it looked so awesome in that package.
The package that began with elite 12 was cool, mainly because the predominantly white scheme was pretty damn fresh and stood out on shelves. Well, that and it was where debut attire Kane was released, and right before Christmas!

I'd also like to add that they really need to up their game with wrestler bios on the back like they used to have

I really liked the original packaging a lot. The wave of white packages I'll always love because it reminds me of when my son started collecting WWE figures with me. I wasn't a fan of either of the blue ones, but the current packaging is much better.
Although not listed, I thought the Legends packaging was superb. Loved the original artwork on all of them.

Legends packaging and the original Elite packaging are my favorites. My least favorite are the blue ones because they look way too bulky. I hope they change the current one because I don't like it much.

I loved the 7-11 packages and 12-17 were really great too. The others range from nice, like 1-6 and the current stuff to hideous like 25-38.

32-38 was awful. So much wasted space where they put grey on the top and bottom. I like the current and the 1-6 best

The only problem with the packaging before E32 is they were huge. They made the boxes smaller from E17 to E18 and they were still enormous. But now we can't get the really big ladder cause it doesn't fit in the box

The first one was the best. It was open behind. More than that the figures came with a stand. Right now Mattel doesnt give us a figure with good control quality. I really dont know what happen...
Dont read wrong my words. I like the new figures but before Mattel seems to have more budget to the figures...
