TM-61 vs Authors of Pain. Why?  ?? We've seen this match at least 4 times. Authors of Pain won every time. #DIY had the story reason to win. SaNiTY had the momentum. No one really likes the Authors of Pain, so it's really either TM-61 or bust. Kinda disappointed with this, but it kinda makes sense now that I think about it. Take over Toronto probably will see #DIY vs Revival, so they couldn't be in the finals, and you can't have heel vs heel, so SaNiTY couldn't win. But gosh am I hoping for TM-61 to pull away with a win here. |

It would be kind of bizarre to give the feel-good Dusty Tag Classic Trophy to a evil heel team in just the second tournament, but I guess it's bound to happen eventually.
It would get nuclear heat on AoP if they won and then trashed the trophy with Dusty's boots during the presentation ceremony and left, but that would be remarkably tasteless, reminiscent of Randy trying to murder Undertaker using Eddie's tribute low-rider.

I said it before, TM61 are incredibly bland and should not be winning this tournament. Like, there have been boring teams in NXT, but none so boring that the crowd at a house show I went to cheered for the other tag team they went against. I think they were Otis (Dozovic?) and Tucker Knight.

I knew the Authors of Pain were gonna win from the beginning.
They are two big guys, and Vince probably has a boner over them and can't wait for them to be on the main roster.

Plans had to of changed with Hideo and Aries injuries.
I really can't see how else they got to this finals. Plus there's no way that Aries and Strong weren't going to be booked for this show and it's too stacked already for them to be doing anything else.

That is what I was thinking but AOP has to win to look strong. I predict DIY will take the belts off of the Revival (Revival then goes to the main roster), then AOP takes the titles off of DIY at Takeover Orlando |

Maybe they're hoping it is a help get either team "to the next level" kind of thing. DIY or Sanity really do not need a title to use as a catalyst to get over.
