Team Madness (Then Now Forever). Mainly because of how good that likeness is, I love it. Looking past the beard, hair and accessories, the other 3 Savage headscans are mediocre likenesses at best.

im more partial to trunks macho....but they still haven't done my fave trunks (Yellow Mega Powers or Pink WM 3)

i'll go elite 38 Macho. Simply because its probably the only one w/ molded on parts specifically made for him. The fringe tights
my fave should be the RSC Macho King....but it hasn't aged well. Great figure...but since they like rereleasing everything now, i would love to see a redo of this one
give him correct Kneepads....the correct color purple...and a darker skin tone
idk, i remember Macho (and hulk for that matter) being super tan. And for whatever reason the figures are about as dark as i am. I didn't really like the WWF Hasbro figures. But they nailed the skintone and purple of Macho Kings trunks. Mattel did not

As much as I loved Savage, I don't have many of his figs. All Stars 2 Pack was given to me by a friend, E23, and RSC Macho King (which I cast my vote for), are all I got. I would LOVE to get the DM. Ultimate Maniacs doesn't really float my boat or E38 (the one with the rib tape?). The Team Madness one looks pretty sweet, though. I intend to grab that.

+1 for the extra effort of including pictures.
I'm going with nWo Savage. It was my childhood era of Macho, and seeing it in figure form again after so long was outstanding to me. Mattel did great with the shirt and the tasseled weight belt he came with. I also really like the attire of HOF (not so much the lack of shirt) and Legends 5 w/ the Jakks Freebirds' robe.
We really need another DM neon cowboy Savage, though I fully understand why people want WM3 first.

Legends 5 was the first one I bought. I grabbed the Walmart Tshirt one to swap heads. Put Miss Liz on his shoulder holding the Winged Eagle title. Blam-O. Perfect. Defining Moments was a later buy for me. Saw loose ones on Ringside for cheap when they had the flood, but didnt pull the trigger because it looked like they didnt have the hat/glasses. I guess they did and I missed out on those. My MIB one cost me like $52 shipped off ebay. I definitely love that one, but it was the most expensive Randy Savage Ive got. The rest were relatively cheap. Also put the grinning scan on the HoF figure. Most look better with that head or e23. Its a shame they only really use the first boring one. Now were getting a new one, but it really only works for that era... Ive got one more Tshirt figure MOC, hopefully I dont have to bust it open to swap more heads down the line. Managed to find a $3 WM5 one at Vintage Stock. C'mon Bill MattelDesignTeam You did great getting that young Orton scan back out there with the Legend Killer. Do it for Randy Savage the Legend! |
