Has he actually ever done one before on footage? I heard he has done it before in WCW Power Plant and he was told not to do it anymore. But I swear i saw him do a few moonsaults in WWF before when i was watching the invasion angle

a wf member actually asked bigshow this and he confirmed that he did use it at the power plant but was told not to as he would be working more 'giant' style. no known footage exists.

I thought he did it one time over in Japan working for NJPW?? Him and Arn Anderson were tagging over there, and I am sure he did it one time there, among other top rope moves at the time.

I had heard this too. Also, shows just how much of a douche Hogan could be. He has bragged about not only being the one to tell Wight not to do the moon salut ( which I believe is a lie ) , but also he and Bischoff pulling Wight from the Power Plant before he was fully properly trained, because they didn't want him doing technical or aerial moves. They just wanted him to do the basic power giant moves. Could you imagine The Giant flying around like a Cruiserweight, or using technical submission holds? Would've been the biggest name in wrestling history!

And all those moves would have resulted in his knees giving out about so much earlier than they have. as for the technical side I don't really care to see a 7ft tall 450+ pounder try and lock in a reverse hammer lock or head locks or whatever there's no point given his size and strength advantage it makes more sense for him to throw and beat down on his opponent. In all fairness if he can do the move that's awesome someone his size can do that, but he's a giant he should play that role, to me it just makes sense that he doesn't need to do fancy moves when he was running wild over WCW as a real life giant.

I think I remember seeing Big Show do a drop kick or two in WCW that were very impressive for such a big man.
If Bam Bam Bigelow could use the top rope moonsault (sort of, his was more of a cartwheel but still impressive), then why couldn't Big Show?

it wasn't bigshow's moveset...or lack thereof that withheld him from being a bigger star. just bad booking and politics.
