It was announced at their Gladgow show that if Kalisto wins the Cruiserweight title, the division will be moved to Smackdown. I'm a few weeks behind on WWE, is there a storyline explanation for this?

Oh god, I hope Dolph doesn't lose the IC title to Sami. RAW doesn't need both the US and IC titles.

Oh god, I hope Dolph doesn't lose the IC title to Sami. RAW doesn't need both the US and IC titles. I am hoping Sami wins with help from Miz but the title stays on smackdown, since technically the title was drafted to the show. It would be great to see Miz screw over Ziggler and Bryan, but in the end he really only screws over Ziggler. |

It would make sense since they're having that new CW show after SD. Exactly, it will be easier. What i think is going to happen is they have the match and Kendrick loses by DQ. that way he keeps the title but shane can say that Kalisto still technically won that match and the division still goes to Smackdown. |

As with everything else in the WWE, there is absolutely zero backstory or logic behind this stipulation that was announced. Just completely and utterly random. The real life backstory is, I'm sure, that Vince has grown bored of the Cruiserweight division and is unhappy with it, so his first instinct is to attempt to banish it by putting it on what he believes is his "B Show," even though SD is far and away the better program these days.

As long as they ditch the purple gimmick stuff, I think the division could fair better on Smackdown. Not sure what that would do to the mid card scene, but it would make the WWE championship that much more important.

I think the thought of them moving to Tuesdays since their being filmed together makes the most sense. But I fear that will leave a hell of a void on RAW. I'm sure some goofs will claim Vince is moving them to the other show because of some conspiracy theory. But they do it over everything, so who listens to them anyhow?
I like the thought of Kendrick working with Bryan. Could make for some great TV.
I hope Zayn wins over Dolph. But while Stephanie is celebrating the title coming to RAW, Zayn reveals he just signed with SD. Especially since she told him she was not a fan of his.

My bet is Zayn wins the IC, Foley gloats about the belt going to Raw, only for Bryan to reveal him and Steph made a deal before the match to trade Zayn for Miz.
Kalisto wins the CW belt. I feel like SD! is a better fit for the CW's, and SD! needs the roster depth. A lot easier to spread the CW's around the IC and mid card division once in a while than it is on Raw.

This is the scenario I've painted in my head as well. Ideally I'd see Survivor Series going down like this Raw wins 2 out of the 3 Survivor Series matches. Zayn wins the IC title from Dolph with help from Miz, Zayn announces he signed with Smackdown the day of the event, IC Title stays on SD. Kalisto beats Kendrick for the CW Title, CW Division moves to Smackdown. Raw still has bragging rights in the Survivor Series matches, Smackdown steals a title, a division, and Sami Zayn from Raw. |

I always thought the CW division was a better fit on Smackdown anyway. No, keep those vanilla midgets away from the blue brand! I like SmackDown, I don't need flippy floppy filler! Honestly, maybe they just need their own show on the Network and keep them off the televised shows. They have really done nothing so far except underwhelm. I like Kendrick, but guys who can't/don't talk are never connect with a large audience. Unless they bring back managers! That would be cool. |
