It's been nearly a month since the Deadman said, "I'm back," but he hasn't dug one hole or taken a single soul. Any chance he appears before 'Mania?

Honestly not sure... I just want him to fight Goldberg before he retires because we never got Sting vs Undertaker :/

I'm hoping Dean is gonna seek vengeance on Ellsworth leaving AJ without an opponent at Royal Rumble, que Undertaker.

I'm sure him being "back" means maybe 3 or 4 more appearances than the last few years and that's it.

I'm hoping Dean is gonna seek vengeance on Ellsworth leaving AJ without an opponent at Royal Rumble, que Undertaker. this is absolutely the best route to go. aj was amazing at making the older talent like jarrett, scott hall etc. look great in tna by being able to work with them and bump for them, without the older guys having to exhaust themselves too extensively. does aj need the rub though? if undertaker was to win, i'd say there is nothing wrong with aj. but if he is to lose...perhaps the truth is someone like dean (even though he is face), dolph ziggler (i know, laughable, but it could change the course of his career completely with an upset win), or if it's not exclusive to smackdown then raw guys like owens, balor, or braun. although some of those might not be the best matches. lol it's also interesting to see what route they'll go considering both kane and bigshow, who's careers are entwined with undertaker's, are also coming to an end soon and this may be their last prominent wrestlemania.

Taker is over 50 with a reconstructed hip and wants to continue. 2017 NEEDS to be his last year. At this point it's just hurting his legacy if he chooses to continue on.

Dude can still go and is consistently putting on the MOTN or near it every time he steps into the ring.

I agree it's time to help make a new star and step away. He doesn't have anything to prove anymore and apart from Goldberg, Sting or cena there's nothing for him to do of interest to me. And to be fair while he is still part of some MOTNs you have to give credit for that to his opponents too.

Undertaker is a legend and still puts on good/fun matches when he is called upon by WWE. To me what makes WWE better, more special, and more fun than UFC and pretty much all other sports is that everything doesn't have to be reality when it comes to age. Undertaker is over 50, but in the world of WWE he is a larger than life character and as long as he can do decent in the ring, I see no reason for him to stop until he is ready to. I would prefer watch the over 50 year old Undertaker wrestle than I would Brock or pretty much anyone on Raw. Just my opinion but that is how I feel.

I would like to see a final Brothers of Destruction angle but other than them fighting the Wyatts again there isn't anyone who would fit. I know this won't happen in a million years but it comes down to Undertaker about to tombstone AJ gong sounds Undertaker legs AJ go looking confused, lights go out Undertaker's music plays lights go back on Phenomenal Forearm and AJ wins. Undertaker slates AJ on smackdown saying he cheated AJ says he has no nodes what happened he didn't do anything but capitalise on a distracted dead man. Undertaker enlists Kane to help him find the truth they capture AJ and beat him but his story remains yhe same. Undertaker gains a rematch at the PPV before mania and a similar thing happens druids bring down a casket undertaker opens it and it's Kane unconscious in there. On smackdown Kane is back stage says he knows who attacked him and he will a dress the situation in yhe ring tonight. Kane music hits no Kane camera is backstage and Kane is unconscious again this time a figure in black is standing over him and makes his way to the ring he takes off the hood and it's Cena. Cena justifies his actions by saying this is the new era where opportunities are earned undertaker walked into smackdown and demanded a world title match without earning it. Undertaker's old school ways don't belong in the new era. They fight at mania. Doesn't matter who wins it's a great story old school vs new school.

Following his loss to Brock and ending the streak, everything that has followed has been nothing but a stubborn person not knowing when to give up. Sure its great to see him, but he has done nothing that excited me in the very least.
He's done, can give up and I'll be perfectly fine.

He'll be back at the Rumble I would expect, either to win it, to beat AJ for the title, or set up a match with AJ at the February PPV.

Taker defeats AJ at Rumble (as "thank you" title run) and he faces the RR winner John Cena at WM. Taker loses and they do some grand spectacle as a farewell.
