Since most of us here are action figure collectors, I wanted to ask has there ever been a toy line where you thought about collecting and was eager into getting into but couldn't pull the trigger on it. Right now I'm really thinking about starting to collect the Star Wars Black Series from Hasbro, most of the figures look great but some of the look like crap especially the face sculpt. I haven't bought a figure yet, but I'm really considering it as a Star Wars collection would look great in my toy display. Anyways what toy line have you wanted to get into? Did you pull the trigger on it? Did you have any regrets?

Hot Toys has killed interest in any other toy collection. I tried Figuarts Star Wars, that didn't scratch the itch. Hasbro's Black Series didn't do it either. Mainly due to the constant QC issues with bad paint. Its an expensive hobby, but each character is one and done with Hot Toys, minus a few variations in costume.
However, one line I wished I had gotten into was Star Wars lego. At this point all the sets I want are so insanely overpriced that I know its something that will never come to fruition.

Oh man I totally forgot about Star Wars Lego's I remember buying the sets when I was a kid and they were awesome. I started collecting them when Lego first started making Star Wars and send out catalogs of their new products and you can order them through mail. I never had the cash to buy the sets so my Star Wars collection didn't last long lol and I agree most of them are now insanely overpriced, if I was rich though I would definitely buy me some sets to build.

There's been a few that I've wanted to collect like UFC but I slowly lost interest in it, I had a few figures but nothing special. I don't think I have the money to start a new collection. I've always wanted a Pop Vinyl collection just never bought one to get me invested

Marvel Legends was one that I actually really tempted to collect because I am a huge marvel comics fan and always loved the marvel heroes as a kid. I had some movie Spiderman figures and other marvel figures as a kid but sold them because I was getting into collecting WWE jakks figures. I see the current Marvel Legends and was interested in collecting but I don't really want to spend more money on another collection. Edit: but I have been collecting some funko pops, even the ones that aren't wwe related

You and I are on the same boat lol I ended up pulling the trigger and bought Darth Maul >.<, he's a bit expensive but I rather just pick a few of the rare ones in case I end up going all out on collecting them.

DBZ Figuarts. To get everyone from the Android/Cell Sagas would just be too much moolah.

I've been trying to not dive into the X-Men/Marvel Legends line because I know it's a slippery slope, but I don't think I'll be able to hold off much longer. Last night I added all of the X-Men Legends to my Amazon wishlist. All are approx $10 right now besides Wolverine and Deadpool.

Dammit. I have no self control. Typing out my last post made me want them even more. Sooooo.......looks like I'm a X-Men Marvel Legends collector now. Bring on Wave 2! And hopefully I can find Deadpool at retail cost.

I wrote a post in the Anime/Figuarts thread just last night actually about how with DBZ Super starting up in English soon on Cartoon Network that I decided to start collecting the Android/Cell saga characters and I started with a Premium Color SS Vegeta. SS Trunks, SS Goku and Premium Color Cell are all on the horizon as well. The Androids however, at least 17 and 18, ain't cheap but I'll eventually get them.

Honestly, I always wanted to be more of a GI Joe collector than I am. I do pick up a few here and there, but I always wanted to go back and buy some of the figures I had as a kid moc. I was always pretty careful with my toys, but, for whatever reason, my GI Joes were the one set of toys that took a licking. I used to bury them in my sandbox and blow them up with firecrackers to create war zones. I just collect too many other things to start getting into vintage GI Joe at this point. I stick to buying a figure here or there when they look cool or when they put out a new Firefly or a cool looking Snake Eyes or Storm Shadow, but that's about it. I think I've also avoided it because I'm not knowledgable about what stuff is worth the way I am with other lines, particularly the way I know the Kenner Star Wars line. So that makes me leery to really get into it too much.
I also really wanted to collect all of the MOTU Classics line from Matty. I just never subscribed and never spent the money. I felt like once I was in a place where I could afford it yearly, I had already missed so much. I have a few of my main favorites, but that line is so deep and gorgeous that I just regret not going all-in on it. Not buying Castle Grayskull is probably one of my biggest regrets ever in terms of collecting, especially when they were half off. I still have some big wants, like Fisto, that I just won't go back and spend the money on. I'm not sure how Super 7 will proceed but they seem like they want to do more of a vintage reproduction line rather than keeping a ton of emphasis on the Classics line and putting out those Ultimate versions of the figures, which are pretty expensive in their own right. We'll see. This isn't something I'm giving up on, but it's not something I'm going to make a financial priority either. If I can grab a couple of figures a year I might be able to get it to a place where I'm happy.

DCUC is probably the biggest. Always been a fan of DC Comics but years ago I said I would only collect WWE figures so I could limit space & money spent. Now that I have plenty of both I regret not getting DCUC figures. The prices on some now arent bad but some are just ridiculous. Hot Toys is also another line that would be fun but spending that much on 1 figure is just asinine to me.

NECA Predator and Alien lines. They look so cool... But I just never cared for either of those worlds.
I did get some Kenner ones when I was little. And I have seen that NECA is remaking a lot of them, which is pretty cool. But I just can't bring myself to buy them.

Marvel Legends Movie figures, I have a few but, I wouldn't mind having a complete cast but, I'm so far behind now I wouldn't know where to start.
