I decided to edit this thread because this is now be the only thread I'm allowing to post about the other small time independent promotions in America. I started to think about all these "official" threads that I've been seeing since I made the decision to not allow 3-4 threads on one company, and I thought "Why should I allow a promotion like MCW (for example) get its own thread where a company like NJPW has to share a thread with AJPW and NOAH, or AAA has to share with CMLL". So this is why I'm going to do something I should have done in the beginning. This thread is now the official thread for the other independent promotions that aren't as highly regarded as promotions like ROH, PWG, etc. The official threads I am keeping are the ROH, Puroresu, PWG, CHIKARA, Lucha Underground, Lucha Libre, Deathmatch, and Women's threads. I am also creating an official thread for the international promotions outside of Mexico and Japan. For anyone who thinks, "You should have done this in the beginning", I agree, I screwed up, but I'm fixing it now. Better late than never. Thank you.
Edit: I forgot to add one part. I do see other threads on this board that I'm fine with, like the Shawn Phoenix thread (nice job BTW bro), and GLOW. I will allow threads like this to stay off of the other independents thread. Just message me before posting a new thread like that for permission. Thank you again

I am excited to see what Billy Corgan is going to do with NWA. He already has Magnus gunning for the title, and looks like he brought CWFH back into the NWA fold. He has some amazing talent to work with if he sticks close to CWFH specifically, with all their Santino Bros. talent. Now we just need Stu Stone....
Anyone else have any thoughts on the new NWA?

I am going to my first HoH event on Saturday. Anyone else in the Philly area going? Pretty interesting line up. Austin Aries, Billy Gunn, Joey Mercury, MVP, Petey Williams, ect. I am not sure what to expect.

Went to my first HOH show this past April. 1st time I was at the ECW Arena in many years. Show overall was great. Definitely looking into going to the Rumble weekend show.

House of Hardcore was pretty amazing. The Spirit Squad really brought in the heat. It was pretty cool, actually. Best match of the night was Willie Mack vs. Luchasaurus vs. Matt Riddle. At the end, Sandman came out, looking very old, only to get attacked by the Briscoe Brothers. I had a blast, I plan to go back.

My little city in central Texas has seen a bit of an explosion in indy wrestling on tv lately.
In the last few days I have found RoH and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood on local channels. Its kinda crazy.
I am currently not watching wrestling, but I am recording these and will give them a try. Just to see what they are like. See if there is anybody I recognize and would want to keep watching for.

Used to watch it on some weird satellite channel a few years ago. A lot of the talent are from Santino Bros. Academy, so it is cool to see them learn the craft. Good talent on commentary with Stu Stone, when he comes around. NWA does seem to be linking back up with them, so it will make for some great shows, even though I believe they are also affiliated with WWN. |
