My Cyclops just arrived. I feel like he’s got a bit of a giraffe neck, but it just might not be pushed in all the way. I haven’t tried to light it up yet so maybe that’s why it looks like a giraffe neck.  |

Three hours later and I am still fuming over today’s events of getting screwed over trying to order the Fall Exclusive Batman vs Black Mask 2-Pack. As soon as it went live I had it in my cart and checking out only to have it say payment failed. So I do it again and it said Payment failed. Third try out went through and I got the this item was no longer available message. It couldn’t have taken more than a minute and a half for all that to take place. Their website F’n sucks.

I put myself on the waitlist for Batman but I don't have much hope of it converting. I'm still on the waitlist for yellow Wolverine and Classic Punisher.

My wife suggested going to the NYCC as they had tickets for Thursday available still, but I said no as the only reason I would go was for this and the Neca DC Exclusive and that’s not worth the extra $110 to be told they don’t have any. Just like last year for the Con Wolverine. They really show hold selling this on the site until after the con. And then put the leftovers on the site. But still sell them prior to the con guarantees they’ll run out at the con. So there’s no way I am spending $110 for two Con tickets to hope there’s an exclusive left to sell.

This is why I've cooled off on all the one:12 stuff. I can't get all the stuff I really really want so why would I give them all of my time and money when I have to deal with scalpers to get the various alternative versions? Honestly, very much like Gambit they just put up. Have John Wick pre-ordered... After that, not really giving a darn about anything else they have coming.... will deffo do the 1989 batman and hopefully a batman returns in multiples but after that, they are really going to have to show me something. Hate that there are Ragnorok Thor figures but no other avengers..... Several versions of antman would be appropriate.
P.S. PJ Your wife must be a real saint to not only allow your collection to be as awesome and huge as it is but to even suggest going to nycc to even see if they had a set to sell! |

Sorry I thought I had replied to this. When I missed out on the Special Ops Punisher I was upset and decided from now on I was really only to focus on Batman and a few other must have characters like Hal Jordan, Cyclops and Gambit and of course Nightwing if they ever decide to make him. But after missing out on the NYCC set I blew a gasket which now has me questioning if I will buy any more other than what I already have preordered.

When I missed out on the Special Ops Punisher I was upset and decided from now on I was really only to focus on Batman and a few other must have characters like Hal Jordan, Cyclops and Gambit and of course Nightwing if they ever decide to make him. But after missing out on the NYCC set I blew a gasket which now has me questioning if I will buy any more other than what I already have preordered. That's about where I'm at. I might PO the Gambit figure and then all I would have is the John Wick that I pre-ordered, Gambit and then when they finally put up 1989 Batman. I'm kind of over the line now and just want to focus on my horror collection and putting together a decent set of 1/6th scale figures of my favorite characters. I have Ant-Man from AM & Wasp pre-ordered from Hot Toys and probably will be going for Wasp at the end of the month.
It's like they put out some really good stuff but then don't explore other avenues.... like they had some outstanding looking figures with the Thor Ragnorok line but then never followed up with other figures from the Marvel universe. I've no desire to have that Thor or Hulk on my shelf. They have finally started branching away from Batman in that line but then make Gordon exclusive.... WTF??? Then Mr. Freeze looks super dope but why would I buy him if I'm not going to get some other great stuff like clayface, killer croc or Robing or Nightwing? I just feel like they are so top secret about everything that I don't really care to get super invested in their various lines because you never know what they are going to do or not do. I have to get a 1989 Batman because its '89 Batman but after that, I wasn't even really feeling that Ghostrider at NYTF.

I got John Stewart from Amazon. I think he's been out for over a month, but Amazon just shipped my preorder. Nice figure, not a must have though, so I waited on Amazon to deliver. Sometimes, Amazon will give a nice price drop on Mezco preorders. This one was only $3.50 off, lol.

I hope everyone that wanted one got the Keaton Batman... I wanted multiples but being that it's different than other one:12 I decided to go with a single before I get anymore. It says it's a seamless body with armature underneath.... It kind of makes me worry a bit that it won't be durable...

This seems like the body type is going to be more like those Phicen figures, which from what I understand have a metal skeleton and can pose really well. This looks like Mezco just took the Hot Toys figure and re-did it in a 1/12 scale, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out. I've got a Nicholson Joker head cast that I put on my Mezco Joker, so there'll be a nice matching set once Keaton is finally out. |

The head kind of revitalized the figure for me, since I wasn’t doing anything with it prior to this head sculpt. I think he’ll look good with Keaton Batman. |

My custom Nicholson Joker. I got a head cast from eBay and painted it up. I don’t have the crisp paint skill that a lot of these customizers have, but I’m pretty happy with it. The head kind of revitalized the figure for me, since I wasn’t doing anything with it prior to this head sculpt. I think he’ll look good with Keaton Batman. I saw some and I have seriously considered picking a couple up..... I would have to find a way to plump up the 1:12 body though. Since you have a Joker, can you tell me if it would be possible to find ways get some materials in the body to make him a bit fatter? |
