New WCW Bash at the Beach 3 pack at Walmart!!!!

I have always felt that the Savage heads on all the figs have been a bit cartoony, but seeing it with this facepaint makes me realize how wrong I was. Spot on

Yeah, these clearer pics just sort of solidify the odd size of that Sting head. Even if by some magical chance it isn't so bad in person, there's almost no way you'll be able to hide its size should you choose to go for a more accurate torso switch. There's so much to like about the 3pk otherwise, but that and the dull Savage head are a bit disappointing.

Only way this pack could have been better is if they gave Lex white boots and Savage the shirt he wore for the promo.

Happy to see a Sting but this is not what I wanted. That head is huge. Where is his neck?

Okay, so they finally nailed Sting's likeness on the surfer Sting. That thing looks incredible! Now the rest of the figure needs to be disposed of and redone completely as far as part selection. Seriously? How hard is it to give Sting an Austin torso and thicker legs with accurate boots? That torso is just too ripped for Sting. I want to see what Luger looks like without the face paint, the likeness looks okay. I'm just upset that Mattel won't correct Sting's parts. I also hope they use the headscan for some crow figures, it's just fantastic.

shame, cuz the head looks decent and a 96' pre-Crow Sting is a look that I really wanted

A few random thoughts:

- I love the idea and hope it sells well enough to warrant more "special event" multi figure packs.

- Sting looks like he just smelled a really bad fart and is wondering whether it was Luger or Savage who did it. Having said that, I really want a BatB Sting!

- I hope they release an elite WCW Luger with that head minus the face paint.

- I don't mind the $50 price point; it sounds reasonable to me for three cool elites. I'm not sure that I will pay that price though for the one off face painted Luger and Savage, as historic as those looks are. I'm also not sure I will ever see it at retail because there are no Walmarts nearby (I live in one of the few areas that actually told Walmart to get bent when they tried to open a store here a few years back).

- If someone were to buy the set but not want Sting, they should PM me. Maybe we could work something out. Particularly if that person is adept at torso swapping and would like to make Sting a little less huge

Luger and Savage look fine.

That Sting sculpt really does look good, way better than the DM & Basic. It actually resembles Borden. Just looks like they were in a hurry and didn't shrink it down enough.

Oh well, there's always next time. Still excited to find this.

For some reason that Sting face reminds me of the villain from Best of the Best 2. Random thought.

I sincerely hope Mattel never tries to use that exact head on any future Basics.
