I had mixed results. Mattel sized are too small and you lose a lot of detail. I resized it to be about 2 inches and got better results. I ordered one from a online print shop mattel sized and had much better results. It really depends on your printer what settings you use.

Yea the lines are something that is really tough to deal with. My brother printed a Han Solo head with it and it came out looking pretty good, but like you said it was a tiny bit bigger than a mattel head so it is hard to say what it would have looked like. Which website did you order the final head online at?

If you sent a scan of Owen Hart, would it be possible to get one made? Just wondering

If you sent a scan of Owen Hart, would it be possible to get one made? Just wondering It's kind of irrelevant unless someone has the data from old Jakks scans of Owen Hart or something. And I'm not sure they'd even started scanning guys when Owen was around.

I believe Warsman tried this a few years ago. I dont know if he ever got his Owen made or not though. Honestly the best route to go about it is to have a head done in something like a 1:12 scale and then send it to someone who resizes heads down to Mattel/Jakks size.

But you are right figure scans didn't happen while Owen was with us.

While that wouldn't be a scan it would be a higher res model than the attitude games.

Always glad to see 3D printing and action figures mixed together Just to toss it out there: In general, older video games use low-resolution models, which aren't good for 3D printing because they don't have any detail. For example, if you tried to 3D print a low-resolution model of a ball, you end up with a highly faceted roughly spherical shape, nothing like the smooth ball you wanted. And then you have to factor in what resolution your printer is capable of... How much is a 3D printer? Like...a million dollars lol. I think decent ones (printers that don't leave a bunch of lines in the model) start at around $5,000 or something.
