I need to know what you guys think. Should I get a PS3 or an Xbox 360? I've read that an Xbox is better as most publishers build their games for the Xbox then just patch them for the PS3. Then again I've read that the PS3 is better as it is faster and has Blu Ray. I'm confused, please help.

I personally would get a PS3 as im used to playstations and it looks very impressive with graphics and gameplay.
On the other hand i have played on an Xbox 360 quite a few times (Cheers James) and that console is impressive to with graphics being brilliant.

I've had both (got both at the same time), and I only have the PS3 now. So I suppose that shows my view lol.
It all depends if you want the 'better console' being a PS3. Or the 'better value' option being the 360.
And there dosn't seem to be much difference between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, other than HD-DVD's being easier to get hold of in shops.

XBox 360 really wont improve that much down the line, it's already at its best potential already. PS3 on the other hand, will be around for a good long time, and will drastically improve. It gets better games too IMO, and it has Blue Ray.
PS3 is the more solid console.

PS3 all the way for me. But then again, I'm used to Playstation. Although I do think it is a better quality. Very expensive though.

Get a PS3. My brother owns a 360 so I have the joys of both and I prefer the PS3. The 360 is a great console, and a good price, but with Playstation Home coming out next year and more awesome games on PS3, you're better going with that in the long run.

Xbox 360. 360's game library practically kills the PS3's. The graphics are amazing too.
Yeah, 360 all the way.

Look at upcoming games. Whichever console has the most games you want, get that. It's what I did.

What's the Playstation Home?? Basically an online community, you have your own home and can meet other people. Search it online, it looks pretty good.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'm thinking PS3 at the mo due to the fact I am used to using PlayStation consoles having never owned an Xbox. It's just the price that is detering me at present - as well as the lack of games. I'm not really bothered about playing movies on it - so the HD-DVD vs Blu Ray thing doesn't matter to me. I just want the console that'll have the best graphics and run speed - at the mo that is the Xbox 360. In the future that could change. I think I'll have to do a bit more thinking Nintendo Wii because they are better than both combined. Not as powerful, no, but much more fun I have a Wii and yes they are amazingly fun to play!! Buying a Wii was a no brainer for me. However I'm wanting a PS3 or Xbox 360 to play the more platform orientated game. I use the Wii as a party console.
