ok, so at 5am this morning the police came on my road and smashed down my neighbour's door and brought in some search dogs. They searched the house for 5 minutes and it turned out the family had been tipped off and had fled before they came. I dunno what the police were there for but I suspect the eldest son of the family was a dealing drugs as groups would go into his house at like 7pm and leave at 1am the next day pretty wasted.
Anyway have any of you ever had the police raid you or someone you know's how? If so, what for?

The house opposite my my Grandparents house was once surrounded by police after it was discovered that the woman who owned it was a drug dealer, then they were back weeks later when she was shot by one of her "customers".
And they complian that the place is too quiet...

The street that I used to live in was constantly being raided by police. A load of people were blatantly and openly drug dealing and were never caught because they were always tipped off. Now that I've left the street the dealers have been evicted and of all the houses, the main drug den has been turned into a community watch base. Not only did we have to deal with drug dealers and users but it also meant that their was murder, rape and robbery constantly. Not a nice living environment, trust me.

Lmfao I just love it how people tell these extraordinary stories and then say "so has this happened to you?" as if it's an every day occurance.

Yeh some ing peado lived about 4 doors away from me. He was a prison officer but he used to drive around this village nearby and pose as a policeman and get lasses to get in his car. There was a bit of commotion when he got nicked. Oh and on my dad's street there's this couple who always used to have domestics and the police would come round in the middle of the night on like a monthly basis.

I live in a village with a population of like 500 people and there's drug raids here all the time. this place is full of drugs, everybody seems to do them. was a raid recently on the street we call "Giro Loan" cause everyone up there is on the giro. ;[ some dude who was selling speed, think he's pretty ed because he apparently had a big massive bag of it lol. my brother got raided recently for growing cannabis plants. he wasn't dealing though, he just smokes a lot it. ;[ my house has been raided as well but I can't remember what happened cause that was ages ago.

Do you guys live in rough places in your towns or citys?
My area has never had anything like that, I've been living at this house with my parents for about 13 years and we've only seen 1 fight in our road and that was the other week.

Like I said above the police live all over the place here, so there hasn't ever been a break in (That I know off) or anything else bad for as long as I can remember.
There was a man who kill his wife with a hammer, but that was down the road, and he was probably mentally unstable, or something.

This place is the complete opposite of rough. Nice quiet village in the middle of nowhere, never any murders or anything like that. There's occasional fights at the weekend, usually instigated by my mates , but there's never any knives or shite like that. Not a place you'd be scared to go out your house or anything like that. Which was kind of the point of my post. Drugs doesn't always mean there's going to be murders and stuff like that. ;[ the only problems arise when some fanny from somewhere like Glasgow who's obviously been booted about all over the place when he lived there comes here and starts trying to act like a big man. they usually get sorted out though. ;[
