I thought they were ok. Cornette was funny but in small doses and got annoying after an hour or so. I'm with @mrwrestlingfigsii on Ross and Heyman. IMO Heyman was about as close as it comes to being able to fill Heenan's shoes. Not to mention Heyman was always on Ross's toes about the action and storytelling, unlike Lawler who would throw out a perv joke here and there. I'll agree with you guys though. They both blended well together for the short time they had during the WWF run. I also liked their NWA run in the late 80s as well. If I recall they called Power Hour together.

Yeah Lawler was alright in the mid 90's, kinda like a poor man's Heenan, but I had no use for perv Lawler or babyface Lawler.

Going based on who i enjoyed the most watching wrestling, its a tie between Monsoon and Heenan, and JR with Lawler. Monsoon and Ventura is second

One of the worst teams I ever heard was Dick Graham and Craig Degeorge. They usually called the old Spectrum shows. Man they were atrocious.

Man that's tough. Watching the older footage with Monsoon and "The Brain" on color, I'd have to give it to them. Just imagine what they would of done in the attitude era. 2nd would be JR and King.

I loved Monsoon/Heenan and Monsoon/Ventura. Both commentating teams had great chemistry.

Hmmm I'm very torn between three choices. I absolutely love Jesse Ventura but don't think he quite had the chemistry with Gorilla that Bobby Heenan did so I'll put that pair ahead. Then there's JR and Jerry Lawler, the real soundtrack to my childhood. I think I'll have to choose those guys just because JR is the greatest commentator of all time in my opinion, and on his day 1996-1998 (in particular) Jerry Lawler was an excellent heel colour guy.

That was definitely Lawler's prime years as a heel announcer. I miss those days.

I loved Monsoon/Heenan and Monsoon/Ventura. Both commentating teams had great chemistry. Seconded. Whenever I watch old stuff these guys are always great to listen to. I also have a soft spot for Vince on commentary but that's purely for comedy purposes.

I used to turn on Monsoon/Heenan PPV's when I was going to sleep. I could just close my eyes and listen to them and didn't need to see the action. There's no other duo that I would do that with.

1) Gorilla and Bobby 2) Gorilla and Ventura 3) JR and King I've always considered those 3 teams the measuring stick when it comes to wrestling announcers. Simply the best.

There were some other fun teams, and some very good announcers, but I've always felt that those were the top of the line...and it's not even close.

Cole and JBL, SmackDown 06/07. Although wasn't a big a fan of them on Raw more recently.

I also enjoyed Monsoon and Alfred Hayes, with Gorilla having to call him Your Lordship. It sometimes made a pleasant change from Bobby Heenan as there was no arguing and it was always friendly and had a relaxed vibe. They both seemed very respectful of each other.
I also liked Sean Mooney and Lord Alfred Hayes. I think they just did Coliseum Video releases. Again, there was the relaxed vibe, though sometimes, Hayes would play a subtle heel. I remember how he used to pronounce Kato as "Karto", and instead of people getting "whipped like a government mule", Hayes would refer to a beating as a "shellacking". Mooney was more lighthearted and would mention any personal mishaps such as travel problems.
Still, Monsoon and Heenan were my fave pairing!

It seemed like no matter what Gorilla said he would make Alfred laugh.
