I learned the hard way that if you ever loan someone money, assume you'll never see it again. That way you don't sit around pissed off for years. I've become a recluse the older I get. A few good friends that are more like brothers, a wife, and a job that keeps me super busy. I'm happy as hell, man. Don't have enough time for negative or detrimental people.

I dropped my dad's entire side of the family from my life about 5 years ago. They are all disappointed in me and think I turned out to be a horrible person, but I don't care because they don't have access to me anymore. I don't go to holidays, weddings or funerals and it's been one of the most joyful and liberating decisions I've ever made.
