wrestlingnews.co/tna-news/impact-wrestling-viewership-for-2917-big-drop-from-last-week/Impact Wrestling drew 252,000 viewers on Thursday night on Pop TV. This is down from the 299,000 viewers the episode drew last week. This viewership number has to be a disappointment for Impact Wrestling and Pop TV especially because the show was headlined by Bobby Lashley vs. Eddie Edwards for the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Title. The show did not rank in the top 150 shows on cable for the night. Here are the viewership numbers for the episodes of Impact Wrestling in 2017: 1/5/17: 290,000 1/12/17: 277,000 1/19/17: 310,000 1/26/17: 307,000 2/2/17: 299,000 2/9/17: 252,000

Are you trying to bash TNA or are you trying to get people to look at your Ebay listing?
Either way, not interested.
TNA is okay these days, nothing special.

I have no care in the slightest about Ratings.

Doesn't help when Eddie Edwards was being pushed way too hard

Didn't Pop TV just get dropped by a lot of Cable/Satellite providers? That might have something to do with it.

Are you trying to bash TNA or are you trying to get people to look at your Ebay listing? Either way, not interested. I am not bashing TNA nor am I using this as a platform for any ebay listing I just never updated my signature. And if you read a previous post I made about them partnering another Japanese promotion shows I am also not bashing TNA I am merely posting news I've seen that isnt on this forum. Either way if you aren't interested your opinions don't matter, nor does your post.

That is possibly it, but I was unaware that they did not factor that in as a reason for the ratings drop. You would think they would have made a comment on it if it was a possible issue in the drop in ratings.

I have no care in the slightest about Ratings. You should. If ratings drop this will be the very last of TNA if you're a fan.

I honestly dont get it when people say Tna will shut down because of ratings or lack of advertising. What were Roh ratings this week? Are they closing doors too?
Tna can just become an indy without tv deal?

Tna can just become an indy without tv deal? But Sinclair television owns ROH and syndicates the show to other markets. They are not closing the doors since they make money from PPV events and market merchandise. TNA has merchandise, but does not have enough PPV's or tour enough to make money and do not charge for their television tapings.

The US is still their main market, though. And they just lost their TV deal in the UK. And they still don't have anybody actually paying to see their shows, and barely anyone probably buying their One Night Only PPVs. Right now, in America, it's very easy to say that ROH overtook them as the #2 company. Plus, y'know they were just on the brink of bankruptcy. You wanna see TNA without a TV deal? Just look at Global Force Wrestling.

So TNA is hovering around 250k to 300k viewers. Why is this still on the air ? If any new show on any channel had these numbers they would have been cancelled after a few weeks maybe a month. Put the show on YouTube already.

Don't know but I think something is in the water in Florida. How can anyone seriously watch TNA and say that the following weeks episodes have been great? I think for the sake of TNA the plug needs to be pulled. What they have to TV right now is an embarrassment to pro wrestling and an embarrassment to wrestling in general.

But Sinclair television owns ROH and syndicates the show to other markets. They are not closing the doors since they make money from PPV events and market merchandise. TNA has merchandise, but does not have enough PPV's or tour enough to make money and do not charge for their television tapings. I am pretty sure that tna airs in more countries worldwide than roh... The two companies couldn't be further apart right now. ROH runs largely successful shows all across the country, has a working relationship with the "hot brand" in pro wrestling (NJPW), and a relatively successful iPPV business. Plus, they've built up a lot of good will with their fanbase over the years. They're also the benefactor of being under the Sinclair umbrella, with syndication across nearly all cable companies. TNA can barely fill a soundstage with people who don't pay to get in. They've squandered nearly their entire fan base, lost nearly all of their major talent, can't draw on TV, can't draw on Pay-Per-View, and are being subsidized by their TV network just to stay afloat. They haven't toured extensively in years and there is absolutely no indication that people would pay to come to their shows. They're hemorrhaging money and couldn't afford to tour even if they wanted to. Without a TV deal, TNA is dead.
