Hey guys..looked up the unreleased Hitman sculpt. This pic was floating around before elite 43 came out. To me it looks slightly different than E43 (the space in the lips is what I notice). What do you guys think? I'm having a hard time deciding lol. Maybe this will be used in the upcoming basic battle pack?  |

The proto has the hair as a separate piece. Also, the corners of the mouth are turned up on the Elite 43.
Elite 43 I think looks a little better than the unreleased proto. The best Bret Hart scan sucks because it was the BOPPV Old man Hart. The elite 43 is definitely better than the other two young sculpts.

One nice thing about that sculpt is it doesn't have the the wisps hanging down.
I agree, "old man" Bret has the best sculpt.

I hope it gets used for a new gen or later Hitman, I see the similarities, but the earlier one looks to be two pieces, when E43 is black hair sprayed on 1 flesh tone piece.

The e43 scan is different. The jaw line looks fuller on the unreleased head. Still think the e43 is the best Mattel scan.

It's not mine. I just googled Bret Hart custom. Someone made a 1/6 model with this. I'll try and find some pics.

Bret overall seems to have had the worst head sculpts. Edge as well, but at least edge doesn't come out looking like Howard stern.

I think most if not all Mattel heads looks cartoony. I am not sure if it's the paints or simply the eye brows. The heads feel very inaccurate.....I am not sure if it's their face scan technology.
Recently at TF I saw their Atom figure and unmasked Brandon Routh and it was near spot on. Maybe Mattel has a new face scan technology that is being used for the Atom figure? If so please use it for their Elite line.

I like the E43 scan but the unreleased one I hope gets released since that could be used for a '97/WCW Hart pretty well

E43 is my favorite Hart head sculpt, period. Hart has always had horrible head sculpts, dating back as far as the BCA days. I'm hoping we see another Hart Elite this year, so maybe we'll see the unused head.

I have to agree with everyone else, I think the Bret headscans are weak. I thought the elite 43 was so and so but there's something I don't like about it, I think for the most part it's the hair I don't like. My favorite Bret headscab has to be the first one, the sculpt is great but what takes away from it is the horrible hair and the dangling dreadlocks. The best of ppv does look like Bret but at the same time also has a very good likeness to smigel from lord of the rings lol. I'm hoping they give us a pissed off or intense looking scan for a WCW fb in both full black or Halloween havoc attires.

Two; all this talk about Bret sculpts makes me realize we haven't gotten a really good representation of his classic pink "sunglasses"

While I agree with some statements in this thread, I didn't want it to turn into a Bret Hart figure bashing thread. I was just curious if they were different sculpts. Hoping if that one is released and painted it will look more like a definitive Bret. If it was up to me I'd have a different head for all of my favorite eras of his 85-97.
