Beth Phoenix in the Hall Of Fame

I would say this is deserved but a little odd in timing as should never officially retired and still could have potentially came back. But to those calling it a joke, she is a multi-time champion, 1 of the only 3 women to enter the Rumble, and was part of the company for 6 years (8 if you count OVW). And to show a bit of hypocrisy in some of you, being a wrestle was her dream, so much so that she became an amateur wrestler in high school (first woman in her school history). She made the varsity team and won two titles. She also didn't devolve into a mess and would be the first wrestler to go in from her era (debuting in RA era).

To those saying Victoria should be going in instead, she is still wrestling. To those saying Chyna, her estate is currently in dispute as her mother is trying to seize control of it from Chyna's manager, who enabled her actions in her final few years at the least. To those saying Ivory, she was just put into WWE 2K17's HoF 2016 Showcase, so it is more a business decision and she'll probably go in within the next few years.

Also, who is to say Beth is the only woman going in this year? They usually induct 5 wrestlers, a manager, a celebrity, and a tag team/stable. 3 wrestlers, a manager, and a tag team have been announced. That leaves a celebrity and 2 wrestlers. The only other names I have heard floating around this year are Rick Rude and Molly Holly, which would take the two remaining wrestler spots.

Eh, whatever. I agree there are plenty of others who should go before her.

I can think of a number of women more deserving of being inducted in the HOF. Victoria comes to mind immediately, Molly Holly, Chyna, Ivory, Jazz. Hell, even Sable.

I'm no saying she does or does not deserve it because wrestling stats and accomplishments are fabricated....but why so soon? She didn't have to retire due to any sudden or tragic circumstances...she retired to crank out Edge's kids.

The Hall of Fame is a show. A show for Vince to make money on at Wrestlemania weekend from the fans that attend it.

I had a thread a week or so ago about this, how I found it ridiculous that even in Kayfabe standards that Ivan Koloff wasn't in the HOF yet. But like someone said, the HOF is a night where fans and other wrestlers wanna hear funny stories about things. That's what the HOF has become.

Wait isn't Ivory already in? She is part of this year's HoF Showcase for 2K17.

This is horrible, but the HOF is pretty much a joke now anyways.

Elizabeth, Chyna, Sable, Torrie, Molly Holly, Ivory, and probably more ladies deserve in before Beth. She didn't even have that memorable of a run, but oh well.

Are you lying on purpose, or have you not seen the Sunny shoot where she (A) Confirms she was banging Shawn for 6 months (B) Denies ever doing anything with Bret.

Don't know why so many feel the need to take it personal. It's not like she bumped you from getting inducted.

Do I think it's a tad too early? Yup.

Do I think she had a good enough career? Sure.

Am I going to get upset about her induction? Nope.

One more thing I'd like to add, any of Beth's short comings were do to her being a victim of the times. She was a legit wrestler in a roster full of barbie dolls. If she was around now, we'd see how good she truly was.
