It would be interesting to know if that is the only pair of stripey sheers ever released - or if Hasbro did indeed release a small handful of Brutus MOCS with striped scissors.
to the best of my knowledge - this is the only piece I have ever seen - I wasn't even aware of Brutus having different scissors until I saw this thread - like someone has said, it really is amazing that after all these years (25+ years later) we are still finding different things out about these hasbros (alternate attires, rare weapon accessories, e.t.c...)
just when you think you have learned it all about them - another mega rare piece pops up lol.....

I wouldn't call this the rarest Hasbro figure. It's cool, but I never understood the hype for figure variants. No different than LJN's Jimmy Hart -- some figures have hearts on the Megaphone others don't. It'd be amazing if the figure had a completely different pose or prop or anything, but a simple color addition is meh. I'm afraid I'm not collector enough to be amazed by this.

I'm going to have a fellow board member upload pics Rudat had sent me years ago of some proto pieces. Some of these are in collectors hands, but not all as far as I know.

This isn't a typical "variant" per say. This is a pre-production version of the figure that was never released. This is way beyond a jimmy Hart paint application level of rarity. This was never mass produced or released to the public, making it quite possibly the only one in existence. We're approaching almost 3 decades since this line first came to be. It's pretty cool to see that there are still some uncovered gems out there.

I'm not judging. I'm the same way. But it's obsessiveness like this that makes people look at us and think we're weirdos. I mean, such a small variation in a figure has people acting as though they found life on another planet. But again, I do the exact same $h!+

It's not the fact that we are grown men collecting 4 inch plastic dolls of half naked men who fake fight each other.

Cool! I wonder how many of those drawings are of unreleased figures, or released figures with different details/bodies.

I wonder if in a few years time somebody will find some alternate Frankie's (Koko B.Ware's parrot) somebody has a slightly unusual parrot, the wings will be a slightly different colour for example lol.
