Received this today from fellow WFer Peterschaar (thanks!).   It's a mock up / prototype of the CSDA1 Hulk Hogan. It has a "For Position Only" sticker on it at the back. I am not sure what that means, but I have heard it was used for display at the 2006 Toy Fair. Not sure. The series was supposed to come with the sound box. I am not sure, but it could be the only one ever made. The figure itself feels like it's made of resin (there is a hole in the bubble to test the sound box!) Cool thing is that the sound box actually works, pretty loudly. It plays Real American and several Hulk Hogan quotes about the 7 foot 5 Andre The Giant, The Warrior. And has sound bits from Gorilla Monsoon from the WM6 Hogan/Warrior match. I am very excited that I was able to get this one! May 2nd: Added a video for the soundbox. Excuse the poor quality as I made it with my old cell phone. The box has two buttons: play all and just play one. Nice pick up here is a picture i saved of it when it was at toy fair there is a good chance it is the exact same one in the picture i have

I seen the hogan figure for sale on eBay a couple of years ago. I passed on it. It was on ebay Singapore. By any chance do you remember how much it was going for? |

Update. I have found a guy on ebay who was selling the hogan figure. He sold it for 340 dollars. He was a seller from Holland. He said it was the only one made but I think there was more because I seen one being sold from Singapore. So not sure how many were made.

The Hogan was a prototype shown around Toy Fair time. When it released it was just the regular CSDA Hogan with the red Hulkamania shirt as an accessory. I remember being in middle school at the time and Hogan figures were so hard to come by in my area. We randomly stopped in TRU one night and the whole series was there. The woman in front of me took Austin and Rock, but that didn't matter cause she left Hogan there and I was able to grab it. Miss being a kid in that era man. Yes they dropped the boom box from the final product for a shirt and classic ring skirt. |
