This is crazy, I had never heard of this. It is really indicative of the times. All toys used to be so cheap and have so much more stuff. These days a Ghost Rider doesn't get a motorcycle and a cloth T-shirt breaks the Mattel budget, but old Legends got a comic book, more paint apps, a baf piece to make a twenty inch figure, and they actually toyed with the idea of a giant speaker with entrance music on it. and of course these cost far less than modern toys.

Had this exact figure. Have no idea what happened to Angle, but still have the boom box, and it still plays his music(albeit slightly different). Never heard of the Hogan figure though. Crazy how the boom boxes still work, I still have the Hardys one from my childhood I have a Billy Gunn boom box that still works and plays his "I've Got It All" theme. |
