Where would I post a thread asking for advice and opinions on things like what to name my fed, my titles and such.

That's a good question. I would suggest in Member Introductions since you're a new member you can introduce yourself as a member interested in starting a figure fed looking for advice. Or you can try the Banter Board. Hope that helps and welcome to wfigs.
