Listening to an old shoot with Dusty Rhodes, and Dusty pulls no punches on Flair, really genuine sounding shoot. Anyway, Dusty was never convinced of Flairs supposed age, Dusty says he had to be atleast the same age as him during the era he was referring too. Dusty also goes on to say that this always bugged him about Flair so its something that has me thinking as well about Flairs age. Look at him, he looks a lot older than what he is, I know people can age badly but God Flair has always looked older than what he was supposed to be. Its also interesting that seeing as he was a baby who was sold on the black market, surely that would raise questions about legitimacy of birth certificates and such?

Honestly, I thought he was like 78!!!
I could believe that Flair would lie about his age. But then its possible he looks so old as he does from years of drinking.

I think but won't swear, that he said in his book when he was taken from the hospital his birth certificate was left behind and he's not sure of his age. |

He was taken from the hospital? I'm not sure of Flair's backstory but I can't imagine he's a lot older than his parents would have guessed. Its not like they grabbed him at the age of 5 from the hospital and thought, "man he's pretty big for a 6 month old"

If you think about him coming to WWF in 91, that is 26 years ago. I could see Flair being 42 then.

Yeah, I doubt his age is way off. His stated birthday may be wrong considering that Orphanage's reputation, but I think he was adopted very young (infant) by a Dr.
Unless he was trying to cheat to play little league baseball, I imagine his age is fairly accurate.
This is generally an issue with foreign born Baseball and Basketball players, but not so much in the US.
His parents would not have wanted him to be 7-8 and just starting Kindergarten, and his high school/College/early wrestling days are documented and coincides with him being 68 today.

I thought he was in his 40s during the 80s but I was also a kid then so every adult looked super old.

I believe he's 68. He just looks like 80 due to all of his partying over the years.

Well, when he was a rookie , Dusty was already established act and veteran. So I have no doubt Dusty was older than Flair.
