No Holds Barred (caresses his sledgehammer over his cheek), anything goes, I'll break you just as you tried to break me. Matt Hardy (c) to become the NEW WWF European Champion and retained the Cruiserweight Championship. Lita joins with Jeff at the end of the match. The Brothers of Destruction def. Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer in a Tag team match when Taker lands the last ride on Dreamer for the pin and win. Chris Benoit def. The New Outsiders (c) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Tag Team Champions. Nash wore an NWO shirt to the ring. A huge victory for the APA, after the referee was down and............. SHAWN MICHEALS makes a WWF return (with a DX shirt on), appearing out of nowhere to superkick Nash! Bradshaw gets the pinfall over Nash! The fans go absolutely nuts. - Nash goes crazy in the back saying how could his old friend Shawn Michaels, who he thought was injured, could do this. Shane tells him to calm down. Nash wants revenge, but Shane says he'll get his revenge soon, but tonight he has a huge surprise in store for the WWF -
Hollywood Hulk Hogan (c) vs. The Rock for the WCW World Heavyweight ChampionshipThe match goes as it did at the original Wrestemania X8. The difference here (besides how it ends) is it's for the WCW World title and the fans are cheering for the Rock. Hogan does get some cheers, but not as much as the original match. The finish has the Rock getting the people's elbow on the Hulkster only for the Hulkster to hulk up. Hogan goes for the three punch, big boot and legdrop, only to miss it for the Rock to get a rock bottom and the pin and win. Winner: The Rock via pinfall to become the NEW WCW World Heavyweight Champion - Shane in the back is upset, pacing back and forth as he can't believe the WCW World title is gone. Meanwhile Vince is celebrating saying that the Rock finally beat that sob Hollywood Hogan and now the WCW title is in WWF - King of the Ring Finals: Rhyno def. Edge to become the NEW King of the Ring. During the match, the referee gets knocked out. Paul Heyman leaves the announcers booth and calls out for his ECW goons. Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Dvon Dudley, Bubba Ray Dudley, Raven and Steven Richards. They all get in and completely destroy Edge and dive him into five sets of tables! Rhyno gets the pinfall and win, joining his ECW comrades with the crown, cape and scepter passed to him. Heyman calls it the greatest moment in his career as ECW will led a Revolution against the WCW and WWF. Triple H vs. Scott Steiner in a No Holds Barred matchThe match starts with forearms and chops from Steiner. He grabs the sledgehammer and tries to use it on Triple H, it's countered. The match is sloppy for Steiner who isn't able to perform to expectations. It soon becomes more hardcore as Triple H uses everything from chairs and garbage cans. Triple H brings Steiner into the back smashing his head into several objects. Steiner fights back with more chops and a clothesline. Triple H gets Steiner back in the arena, tossing him into the ring. Steiner fights back and grabs the sledgehammer that was still in the ring. He swings into Triple H smashing into his face. Steiner is exhausted as Triple H is on the floor. He goes for the pin to two. Triple H is back up as Steiner goes for a samoan drop finisher, but Triple H counters and lands a pedigree. Triple H grabs the sledgehammer and waits for Steiner to get back up. He smashes it over Steiner's head for the pin and win. Winner: Triple H via pinfall Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Booker T for the WWF ChampionshipBooker T gets the early advantage over Austin. Austin grabs Booker's foot from a superkick, and lands a desperate stunner. Late in the match, Booker T gets in the 110th Slam for the pin to two. Booker can't believe it and lands his version of the rock bottom for the pin to two. Booker is frustrated as he can't pin down Austin. Late in the match, Booker hits the ropes and Austin clotheslines him. Austin gets in the million dollar dream, a move has hasn't used in a long time. Booker is about to sleep as the referee starts the count. Suddenly a large bald man runs into the ring giving Austin a massive spear it's GOLDBERG!!!
Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin via DQ The fans go wild in disbelief as the ref brings in the WWF title belt. Austin is dazed as he gets back up and Goldberg lands a massive jackhammer on Austin. Goldberg gets a hold of the WWF title belt and looks at it. He drops it on Austin and walks off with Booker T to end the show.

Triple H vs Scott Steiner during the Invasion Era back in 2001 would have been a perfect dream match and why I say it? Because in the old WCW before it went out of business in 2001 Steiner was virtually unbeatable in WCW if you ever remember his monster heel run in WCW which ended in him being the last WCW World Heavyweight Champion? And then here in the WWF in your diary during the Invasion he is a top heel going up against Triple H who is also a heel in WWF but the difference between the 2 of them is their respective companies so of course who do the fans hate more? They obviously hate Steiner more
Triple H has his sledgehammer so what will Steiner say to Triple H's challenge? Will he accept or will he say no?
No Holds Barred means anything goes no rules no DQ but who does that favor more?
If Triple H does take out Steiner then what?
I would have expected Taker to have more of a presence in this Invasion storyline especially since he is one of WWF's top guys same goes for his brother Kane too and Angle as well

Goldberg making his debut during this Invasion and he shows up in the main event spearing Austin the WWF Champion with Austin and Booker's match ending in a DQ win for Austin but Goldberg not only spearing Austin but giving him a Jackhammer on top of it...I mean Goldberg is the last person who I expected to show up at KOTR 2001
Same goes for HBK...Shawn Michaels I mean in 2001 wasn't Michaels still injured? I mean he didn't even come back until 2002 and yet here he is and in Shawn's return he superkicks his now former best friend in the Kliq Kevin Nash with the APA taking advantage to become the new WWF Tag Team Champions beating The New Outsiders but it begs the question of why HBK would choose now to return? Or why he would superkick Nash?
Triple H beating Steiner in No Holds Barred I wonder then what is next for HHH?
Rock beating Hogan to become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion...finally something is done right and Hogan puts over Rock just like how it should have been done just like how it should be the older guy putting the younger guy over and with Rock going over Hogan it only begs the question of if Hogan will try to get a rematch for the title?
Rhyno becoming the new King of the Ring beating Edge in the final because of an ECW invasion...now that was genius

RAW begins with Vince McMahon who makes his way out to the ring and gets on the mic. Vince: Last night history was made, the World Wrestling Federation truimphed as the Rock defeated the immortal one, the invincable Hollywood Hulk Hogan to bring us the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. And my two bodyguards the APA have brought back the Tag Team Championships. I would like to thank the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels for his return to the WWF because I need him and I hope he listens again that I need the D-Generation X dammit.
However we also saw some tragedy. Chris Benoit stole the Intercontinental Championship and worst of all that threacherous bastard sitting over there, Paul Heyman made sure that the Hardcore Champion Rhyno would go on to win the King of the Ring. Edge has suffered injuries that could put him out for weeks if not months dammit. I will crush the ECW Revolution before it gains ground so tonight Rhyno will have to defend the Hardcore Championship up against the Undertaker and Kane in a handicap match! Shane, Heyman you want a war you got one! Jeff Hardy (c) def. Justin Credible via pinfall to retain the WWF Cruiserweight and European Championship. - An angry Triple H walks into the Arena as he wants a piece of WCW Superstars; that he'll take on anyone. Rhyno (c) vs. Kane & The Undertaker for the Hardcore ChampionshipRhyno comes to the ring and Kane and Taker double team him quickly. They smash chairs over him, use tables and trash cans. Rhyno is badly beaten till ECW goons start coming in. One by one, from Rob Van Dam to Tommy Dreamer, they're taken down. As Kane takes Rhyno to the back, the arena suddenly goes dark and the titantron shows a strange symbol of the scorpion. Wrestling Fans erupt. Taker stares at the screen wondering what it's all about. He heads to the back to counter other ECW guys till Kane gets in a Tombstone piledriver over Rhyno on the concrete for the pin and win. Winner: Kane via pinfall to become the NEW WWF Hardcore ChampionNWO Big Show def. Matt Hardy via pinfall
Triple H (wears a DX shirt when he enters) & The "One" Billy Gun def. Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn via pinfall.

- Sting...The Crow The Icon I can see him making his debut soon enough it is clear that The Undertaker was distracted by Sting
- It seems Shawn Michaels is determined to reunite DX and it makes sense considering the nWo is running rampant...nWo vs DX could you imagine? But by doing that that means getting the other DX members to reunite like Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac to go up against the nWo

Smackdown! June 28th, 2001 Hosts: Michael Cole and Tazz
The show starts off with the nWo walking to the ring (Hulk, Hall, Nash and Show). Hulk: You know something brother, we didn't come back here to cause any trouble. In fact we want to make peace with the WWF. After all the four of us are former WWF Superstars. Everyone knows that I'm responsible for the WWF taking off, no one here would even be here if it wasn't for me. Nash: That's right I've amended my ways, we don't want a war anymore. Show: So to prove ourselves we won't cause any more trouble at all. Hall: That's right chico man, we are turning a new leaf, we surrender man (holds up a white flag) Hulk: So please accept us back brother, WWF-4-life (they leave) Cole: (on commentary) What the heck is this? Tazz: (on commentary) I got a bad feeilng about this Cole! Triple H is in the back as X-Pac and the "One" Billy Gunn are getting ready for there upcoming match. Triple H tells them to wear DX shirts tonight and he throws it at them. X-Pac asks if they're at war and Triple H leaves without saying a word. X-Pac and Gunn look at each other.X-Pac & The "One" Billy Gun def. Christian & Albert via pinfallThe APA (c) def. Sean O'Hare and Chuck Palumbo (debuts) via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team ChampionshipsShane McMahon is in the back with DDP and Booker T talking about the WWF. Shane grabs a hold of the "vacant" WCW U.S title belt. Shane says he declares Diamond Dallas Page the new WCW US Champion for his loyalty. DDP thanks him as Shane says he wants him to go out there and display it to the world and show the WWF that they can't take another title from the WCW. Diamond Dallas Page (c) def. Tajiri via pinfall to retain the WCW United States Championship. Trish Stratus fought Torrie Wilson to a Double Countout. - Show being in the nWo makes sense since Big Show was an original nWo member back in the old WCW but seeing Hogan, Nash, Hall and Show the newly restructured nWo here kicking off Smackdown was great but then cutting to DX...Triple H trying to get the band back together for DX I wonder if X-Pac and Billy Gunn will rejoin DX? If that happens then all roads will lead to DX vs nWo but the thing about X-Pac is that he was a member of both nWo and DX so where do his loyalties truly lie?
- DDP as WCW United States Champion makes sense but at the same time I wonder if whoever the WWF Intercontinental Champion is will end up facing DDP in a Unification Match for both titles?
- Booker T the former WWF Champion the former WCW Champion beating Jericho in the main event was great but I would have expected Austin the WWF Champion to show up either during the match or post-match
- Trish Stratus in a rivalry with Torrie Wilson I wonder if this will go anywhere?

RAW is WAR July 2nd, 2001 Hosts: Jim Ross and Paul HeymanJR opens RAW on commentary saying that the WWF Invasion PPV will be live at the Gund Arena in Ohio on July 22nd. It's expected to be the biggest PPV in WWF history as Vince McMahon declares open war on WCW and ECW. Stone Cold Steve Austin comes to the ring to a huge pop with the WWF Championship belt. He talks about how pissed off he is that WCW has brought their ultimate weapon Goldberg to stop Stone Cold. Shane makes his way out to meet with Austin.Shane: Look at you Stone Cold, you felt the fear, you felt the intensity of the greatest WCW star in history. At the height of the Monday Night Wars it was Stone Cold Steve Austin and Goldberg, the two biggest stars around today and well guess what I want to make it a reality, Goldberg challenges you Austin for the WWF Championship at Invasion! Austin: Bring that sob out because I want him to ask for a title shot to my face especially what he did at King of the Ring. Shane: Unfortunately as owner of WCW, I've sent him to the gym because I want him to be beyond 100% and it's funny he has the same hunger as you and he keeps asking me Who's Next? Well I've got a man for him, Stone Cold Steve Austin so what do you say? Austin asks for beers and asks if Shane wants it, Shane is fine with it as they start to drink. Austin: If ya'll want me to send a message to Bill Goldberg of WCW give me a hell ya (fans chant hell ya!) Well you heard um.. Austin stuns Shane in the middle of the ring and gets on the mic. Taker doesn't look happy about it and leaves for the back. The nWo walk to Vince's office which is guarded by the APA. They say they just want to talk to Vince, but Vince doesn't want to talk to them. The APA tell them to leave and they say they just want to make peace with the WWF. Hulk says if Vince doesn't accept them, they'll make the WWF a place of hell. The APA tell them off. Intergender Match - Molly Holly def. Crash Holly via pinfall

Referee Nick Patrick sides with the nWo giving Big Show a fast count as Hogan, Nash and Hall get in the ring. They beg for Vince to come out or they'll "slaughter" Kurt Angle the American hero. There is no response so Nash gets a jacknife powerbomb in on Kurt. Hogan demands Vince to come out, but doesn't. Hall gets a Razor's edge in. Hogan warns that they'll injure Kurt for good. Suddenly with a MASSIVE POP a TANK ROLLS OUT ON STAGE! It's The D-Generation X (Shawn, Triple H, X-Pac and Billy)!!!! The tanks shoot out fireworks as Triple H gets on the mic saying the DX has declared war on the WCW and nWo! The nWo crew leave through the crowd afraid as more "pyro shells" shoot out and the whole arena erupts with the words "Suck it!" as RAW goes off air.

Smackdown! July 5th, 2001 Hosts: Michael Cole and Tazz
Smackdown opens with Shane McMahon in the back pacing back and forth in his own office. He's really frustrated and just can't handle it anymore. He hates what Scott Steiner did to his sister, how the nWo have kind of gone rogue and how the WWF is winning the war so far. Suddenly at the door it's the NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR. Fans recognize him and shout Wooo! Flair: Shane my man how are you doing? Shane: Not so great, but I'm glad you came on such short notice Flair: I'm enjoying my vacation you know... Shane: I'm ordering you back in the WCW as my Chief Consultant. Flair: You want the Nature Boy, me Ric Flair, the 16-time World Champion to become Chief Consultant of the WCW? It'd be my pleasure. Shane: Excellent, because we have to win the war we have to push back the WWF, win back the WCW World title and become victorious at Invasion. Flair: It'll be glorious wooooo! Molly Holly def. Jacqueline via pinfall
Kane (c) def. Tommy Dreamer via pinfall to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship
Chris Jericho def. Matt Hardy via pinfallDiamond Dallas Page (c) (w/The Radicalz) def. Albert via pinfall to retain the WCW United States Championship. Tajiri via pinfallThe Rock (c) def. Mike Awesome via pinfall to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship
Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) def. nWo Big Show via pinfall to retain the WWF Championship

RAW is WAR July 9th, 2001 Hosts: Jim Ross and Paul Heyman
Highlights are shown from last week's RAW with the DX declaring war on the nWo. JR says that the nWo has responded and a promo is shown of the legacy of both DX and nWo. JR says it;s the dream match the world has been waiting for, DX vs. nWo at Invasion. The Undertaker fought Diamond Dallas Page (c) to a Double Countout with DDP retaining the WCW US title. RAW opens with the match as it ends with Taker and DDP fighting it out on the outside till suddenly the light goes out and smoke appears in the middle of the ring. STING (crow version) makes his appearance known in the middle of the ring (note: Sting once said he would've joined the WWF at the time if not for the Rock's "who the heck are you" statement to Booker T in the original invasion story, hence since Booker is given a huge push here, he accepts Vince's offer). The fans are going wild. JR is going nuts himself saying he can't believe that Sting is here even Heyman says he needs to regroup with the ECW because he never expected this. The bell rings as the referee counts both men out and even DDP leaves for the back. Taker stares at Sting in what would seem for the first time of his career; Taker is afraid of Sting. Sting has his bat out pointing at Taker as Taker doesn't want anything to do with him and decides to leave the ring. Shane McMahon is in the back with his Chief Consultant Ric Flair. They're talking about Sting making his return as a great thing. Flair says he has a surprise for Shane McMahon tonight and wants to show it to him in the middle of the ring. The APA (c) def. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships
Booker T def. Kurt Angle via pinfall. Booker finally defeats Kurt with a clean pin. However Booker gets "gold glitter" falling from the top of the arena. Booker is like wth? After a commercial break Booker T is in the back and he sees Goldust and Booker stares at him saying "who the heck is are you"? Goldust replies "your dreams"...Booker runs off disgusted by him and leaves for Shane's office. WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin is in the ring and calls out for Goldberg to come out. He waits and waits and says that Goldberg must be the biggest coward ever. Goldberg finally makes his way out. Goldberg and Austin are face to face. Goldberg: You asked for me? Austin: Ya you heard me, you wanted to challenge me for the WWF Championship, this Championship I have my hand, well ask. Goldberg: I think I made my point at King of the Ring very clearly. Austin: You don't get to come into my ring, into the WWF and insult me and do whatever you can because I'd whoop your a## on outta here. Goldberg: (laughs) You really don't know what I'm capable of do you? Austin: You want a beer? Goldberg: Sure. Goldberg gets a beer from Austin, Austin has his out towards him, but Goldberg opens his and pours it all of the middle of the ring. Austin: (laughs) Maybe that pea-sized brain of yours fitted in all those muscles you got don't understand anything about a beer, so how about I get you another one and we do this the right way... As Austin goes to the corner to call out for more beers, Goldberg lands a spear on Austin! Goldberg asks for his title match for Invasion, drops the mic and leaves. Kane (c) def. Shane Helms via pinfall to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship
The Rock (c) def. Chris Benoit (c) via pinfall in a non-title match. Shane McMahon makes his way out with a few WCW stars (no nWo) and his Chief Consultant Ric Flair. Shane talks about WCW and how business will pick up once he crushes the WWF at Invasion. Flair: Shane my friend, as you know you did the right thing by signing us all up with WWF contracts so that we could have the right to be in this ring. I mean isn't it great. But the thing is you're...you're a McMahon and I don't think anyone one of us will ever forget what your father did to us. Shane: Wait what are you talking about? Flair: Well see the thing is the investors you brought in to buy out the WCW so you could own it, they had a change of heart. Heck you couldn't afford it on your own could you. You're dad was the one with all the money even if you signed it yourself. Shane: What the hell are you talking about? Flair: How can I put this...you're fired. Shane: You can't do that! I own the WCW! Suddenly WCW stars start beating up on Shane McMahon. Flair says he was one of the silent investors and openly declares himself the NEW owner of WCW. They lock Shane on the ropes and give him a beating till suddenly, the Rock runs into the ring! The Rock lays the smackdown on everyone in the ring and actually saves Shane. Ric Flair runs out and the Rock talks trash to him as RAW goes off the air.

I wonder if Sting will face The American Bad Ass Taker and if he does that the match will be a Buried Alive Match and if that happens then that is the perfect way to bring Undertaker back during the Invasion storyline as The Dead Man version of himself
DX vs nWo is a dream match in my opinion and how they would match up with each other
Hollywood Hogan (nWo)/Triple H (DX) Kevin Nash (nWo)/Shawn Michaels (DX) Scott Hall (nWo)/Billy Gunn (DX) Big Show (nWo)/X-Pac (DX)
WCW turning on Shane...I expected this especially with Flair coming into the picture I thought that he and Shane would work together but I knew Flair would pull something like this and now that Flair owns WCW I wonder what this means? Unless Bischoff somehow comes back into the picture and Bischoff regains control of WCW by stealing it right out from under Flair
Rock the WCW Champion coming to Shane's aid...The Rock is the last person who I expected to see run to Shane's rescue but Rock still doesn't have an opponent for Invasion and seeing as how he is the WCW World Champion he is going to need an opponent
Goldberg/Austin is a Dream Match...2 of the biggest stars of their respective companies going at it for the WWF Championship could this get any better?
But it is like ECW has taken a backseat in this Invasion I would have expected them to bring the fight to WWF and WCW because ECW aren't they the wild card in this whole situation?

Smackdown! July 12th, 2001 Hosts: Michael Cole and Tazz
The show starts off with Booker T speaking to Ric Flair in the back. He says that Shane McMahon gave him the opportunity of a lifetime and become a WWF Champion, not Ric Flair. Flair says Booker has no choice, but to give in and that tonight he can take the day off. Booker accepts Flair as his WCW boss. Booker finds an attractive lady and starts to flirt with her. The lady asks him if they want to go back to her hotel, and Booker is surprised by this saying how easy it is and they leave for the hotel. Spike Dudley vs. Shane Helms ended in a No Contest Spike Dudley gets in the ring for his match up against Shane Helms. Masked men appear representing ECW from the crowd and they attack both Spike and Helms. They take off there masks and beat down on both men once again. Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer grab tables for two sides and smash both men into them. Tazz gets really angry and suddenly jumps into the ring with the mic.Tazz: What the hell do you guys think you're doing? I understand you guys lost jobs, you lost a lot from the demise of ECW. But it's not WWF and WCW's fault, heck the WWF hired me from ECW, they gave me a job because I asked for it and look I now manage Tough Enough. Don't you guys realize it's really Paul Heyman's fault. He didn't pay out any of you guys for months on end, he didn't get any investors or TV producers to be interested in the product anymore, he did nothing all of last year! So you guys gotta stop. ECW is dead. The ECW guys threaten to destroy Tazz, but Tazz runs out. Several WWF guys run out to attack the ECW, but ECW leave through the audience. Lita (c) def. Torrie Wilson via pinfall to retain the WWF Women's ChampionshipLance Storm def. Hardcore Holly via pinfall
Booker T is in a hotel room with his new lady friend. Booker takes off his shirt and is ready to "get it on". The light is turned off till Booker hears a man's voice. He turns on the light and it's Goldust on the left side of Booker's lady friend. Booker runs off butt-naked out of the hotel. Goldust is disappointed. Kane (c) def. Rhyno via pinfall to retain the WWF Hardcore Championship.
Jeff Hardy (c) def. Mike Awesome via pinfall to retain the WWF Cruiserweight Championship. The European Championship has been declared defunct. Diamond Dallas Page (c) & Chris Benoit (c) def. The Undertaker & Kurt Angle via Countout. Taker was counted out when once again Sting appears but this time on stage. RAW is WAR July 16th, 2001 Hosts: Jim Ross and Paul HeymanOn Sunday Night Heat Shawn Michaels says he'll be in the Invasion DX vs. nWo match for "one last match". Also Booker T challenges Goldust to a match at Invasion as another segment pits Goldusts obsession over a Booker T poster and Booker coming in disturbed by it. Invasion promo starts off RAW with a big promo on two big matches for this Sunday: The D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, X-Pac & Billy Gunn) vs. The nWo (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & Big Show) in an Eight-man Tag Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Goldberg for the WWF Championship
___________________________________________________________________________ The Undertaker gets in the ring with a mic on. Taker: You know these past few months have been hectic with the WCW invading the WWF. I'm happy that Vince McMahon wants to invade the WCW this Sunday in what looks to be the biggest PPV event in history. But I think it's missing something, its missing the icing on the cake. Sting you've been haunting me for the past few weeks and I got to admit I know everything about you. But I don't think you know me dawg, I don't think you know the American Badass that I am. So why don't come out here because I think Invasion needs the icing on the cake, the Undertaker taking on Sting. Sting appears from smoke from the stage and walks to the ring with his bat. He stares into Taker's "soul". Taker: They called me once the phenom, I get you, (laughs) I do man but... Sting: (grabs the mic from Taker as Taker looks afraid) What do you know about fear, when you've abandoned it. I'm not interested in facing the American badass, I'm interested in him...you know who I'm speaking about...the fear, anger, rage and darkness, the phenom himself. Ric Flair vs The Rock for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship...2 cornerstones of their respective companies wrestling's past meeting wrestling's future...2 icons of this sport meeting each other for the first time The Nature Boy vs The Great One now this is a Dream Match
I wonder how Shane plans on fixing this?
As for Sting he doesn't want The American Bad Ass Taker he wants The Dead Man The Phenom so I wonder if Sting will somehow be the one to resurrect Taker by either taking him out so badly that Taker has no choice but to return to his original persona? Or will Sting bury The Undertaker alive?

He gets in the ring as Sting's Crow theme is on with the lights going off. Sting makes his appearance in the raftors and seconds later he disappears and reappears admist smoke from the stage as he walks slowly into the ring (obviously it wasn't him in the raftors). He points his bat at Taker and gets in with an eerie look. Taker does look afraid as Sting takes off his jacket and stands still. Taker shakes his head and walks around the ring waiting for Sting to do something. Taker is face to face and now says to Sting that he isn't afraid. Taker pushes Sting, Sting pushes Taker and they grapple. Taker gets in a headlock and laughs, but Sting lifts him up for the german suplex. Sting is up standing and shouting for Taker to get back up. Taker can't believe it. Taker lands in some punches, but Sting counters with several chops. Sting whips Taker into the corner for a huge Stinger Splash. WWF Invasion
Part 2 of 2Vince McMahon with Stacy Kiebler is in the back angry about WCW's elimination win and Sting's victory over the Undertaker. He complains to Stephanie who has returned from her injury. Linda is in the office asking Vince to forgive their son Shane McMahon for all that he's done since he bought WCW and was fired as the owner, but Vince wouldn't have it he says that's he's too angry to even consider it and that nothing Shane can do could convince him unless Linda calls off the divorce. Linda is disgusted by the idea as Vince says he wants an open marriage too. Linda says she'll have an answer for him on RAW. The Rock (c) vs. Ric Flair for the WCW World Heavyweight ChampionshipBefore the match, Vince wishes the Rock good luck and the Rock says he doesn't need it from a roody-poo candy-a## like him. The Nature Boy Ric Flair makes his way out as the Rock follows thereafter with the WCW World title. Flair and the Rock lock up, it's an old-school match with several holds, suplexes, clotheslines, eye rakes and scratches back and forth. The Rock does a good job playing this old-school style, but later he gets more intense and is quicker than Flair in the ring. Flair however works on Rock's legs for most of the match. Late in the match, the Rock gets in a rock bottom for the pinfall, but Flair's foot was on the ropes. The Rock drags Flair in the middle of the ring for the sharpshooter, but Flair counters it with the figure-four leglock! The Rock is shouting in pain as he tries to reach the ropes and JR brings emphasis on Flair being the master of the figure-four. The Rock gets pinned twice during the lock, as he struggles to try to make it to the ropes. The Rock finally reverses it and Flair gets to break it in time. Flair works on the Rock's legs, but the Rock knocks down Flair as he goes for the sharpshooter! Flair is about to tap out but reaches the ropes in time. The Rock awaits for Flair to get up for another rock bottom. The Rock lays the people's elbow for the pin and win. Winner: The Rock via pinfall to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship_______________________________________ Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) vs. Goldberg for the WWF ChampionshipPromos are shown of the match, from Goldberg's challenge to Austin on the Jay Leno show two years back to Austin's reign as the leader of the attitude era. Earl Hebner is back after the fight earlier to officiate the match. Goldberg makes his entrance first bashing a door and walking down the hallways with security. He walks out to pyros and enters the ring to a pop. Glass Shatters and Austin walks out to a bigger pop. Austin gets in the ring and it turns into a fist fight. Austin gets overpowered by Goldberg for most of the match. Later in the match, Austin gets the upperhand landing several punches and kicks in the corner. Goldberg suddenly gets up and angry and lands a huge spear for the pin to two. Goldberg signals for the jackhammer, but Austin sneakily get in a stone cold stunner on Goldberg for the pin to two. Austin can't believe that Goldberg kicked out. Austin grabs a beer drinks it and decides to wait for Goldberg to get back up. Austin tosses the beer aside and lands a second stone cold stunner for the pin to two! Austin is now frustrated he doesn't know what to do. Shane McMahon, who looks like a desperate man who would do anything to appease his dad, appears standing outside of the ring. Goldberg is up and Austin gets in the million dollar dream as Shane calls for the bell akin to the "Montreal Screwjob". JR is like what the heck is going on as Shane grabs a chair and tosses it to Austin. Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin via "submission".Austin starts smashing the chair over Goldberg. He viciously attacks him with the chair and won't stop as Shane demands that Austin destroy Goldberg. Shane and Austin shake hands at the end of the match as Shane hands over the WWF Championship. _______________________________________ The D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels, Triple H, X-Pac & Billy Gunn) vs. The nWo (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & Big Show) in an Eight-man Tag matchThe nWo come out first thereafter DX. They're near there respective sides as the crowd is going wild for this main event match. Hulk Hogan decides to go first up against Triple H. Hogan and Triple H go at the longest in the match, similar to the original Backlash 2002 match with the test of strength. Hogan makes the tag to Nash, who wants HBK, but instead goes up against Triple H. HHH makes the tag to X-Pac. Nash gets the tag in to Hall. Later X-Pac makes the tag to Billy. Hall makes the tag to Big Show who destroys Billy. All members of the nWo work on Billy Gunn and Hogan even gets in the legdrop for the pin and break by HBK. Hogan tags in with Nash who calls out for HBK. Shawn is finally in (wearing a DX shirt) and they grapple, Shawn turns around for some punches and whips Nash to the ropes for a leaping forearm smash. Nash falls as HBK lands the superkick for the pin and break by Hall. Nash makes the tag to Hall as Shawn gets in a few punches and kicks and makes the tag to X-Pac (Shawn does the match, but not a whole lot because of his past injury). Hall gets in the razors edge on X-Pac for the pin, but HBK breaks it. Hall brings X-Pac into there corner for the four of the nWo to work on him, each getting in a shot with a tag. Paul Heyman says he's impressed with the strategy nWo is using. Big Show chokeslams X-Pac to a corner and calls for Triple H. Triple H gets in and Show goes for a clothesline and misses only to meet the pedigree! Triple H goes for the pin but break by Hogan. Triple H wants Hogan and lets Snow make it to there corner. Hogan and Triple H grapple and Hogan works on a few holds till Triple H counters Hogan and gets in a pedigree as all member of the nWo and X-Pac and Gunn try to fight them off. Triple H decides to knock down the Big Show. Suddenly out of nowhere Shawn Michaels hits a MASSIVE Superkick on TRIPLE H!!! He drags Hogan over Triple H for the pinfall!!Winner: The nWo via pinfall Shawn takes off of his shirt and reveals an nWo shirt!! Shawn hugs Kevin Nash as the nWo celebrates there win. Triple H rolls out with X-Pac and Gunn who are already hurt. JR shouts that this must have been Shawn's plan from the very start that he was in on it that he must have some kind of agenda for being kicked out of DX a year back. Shawn says on the mic for the DX to suck it and that it's nWo-4-Life as Invasion goes off the air!
