did anyone mention yet.....that this isn't his WM 3 attire? This is what he wore on the Raw after Wrestlemania 3, with no title, thus making it accurate, lol. |

In all fairness, it is a GREAT figure. I will be buying a few throughout the year. Many fixups to be made.

Pre-ordered one along with the Balor Club exclusive just now. This is what Mattel should always strive for with the Defining Moments line. We haven't seen but a few images thus far, and still it feels like a much bigger deal than the more recent DM figures. Pink/purple trunks color aside, I am thankful for a new Randy Savage head and yet another Elite figure representing this very important time in Macho Man's career. The Classic Intercontinental title would have put it over the top, but even without it we were still given a Grade A figure. No complaints here.  |

Sorry guys, I grew up watching this wrestler and always watch this match. I've asked for this particular macho man for years and i'm excited to finally get it especially on the 30th anniversary year of WMIII.
Glad the get the new look, the robe, headband, etc. I think the "sleeve of wizard" robe is a little short on the sleeves. With a bent elbow it should go to his wrist. In real life, it's definitely not a hang to the wrist robe when his arm is extended. So they got it right just a little short where it looks like a short sleeve rope.
For a trunks era macho, everyone knows his different colors...
His most remembered trunk colors are the WM4 orange, purple, and pink. 2nd tier would be steamboat throat match red, and IC title cheat match vs Tito yellow. Then lastly the green and the rare blue trunks.
Mattel should know this also so if this figure doesn't come out with pink trunks, it's a total screw up on their part. And if they never watched his WM3 match where he wore those colored trunks, then they are in the wrong business.
As for the missing IC title? Makes no sense for the figure not to have it. It would have looked nice package with him.

My only complaint is the knee pads. They need to be smaller. Maybe they'll do a running change like with Sting's boots.

THAT is a "Defining Moments" figure. not the glorified flashback elites we've been getting in DM boxes I like that it's a defining moment as well. Makes the series name actually mean something. |

This is an awesome looking figure, I am elated that I will FINALLY have a Macho Man figure with one of his trademark robes in my collection. It would be nice to see a picture of his face without the sunglasses as I am not 100% sold on the head scan from what I see now.
Regarding the color of the trunks, I think it would be crazy for Mattel to go the the expense of making this great figure and then screwing it up by painting the trunks the wrong colour?! I hope this is a mistake or somehow the colour looks different than it really is- perhaps they are using an earlier prototype for the pic instead of the final product?! I am colour blind and to me it looks like a light coloured pink not purple, I will still buy it though as I have been waiting and hoping for Mattel to release a Macho Man figure with a robe for a long time.
This exactly.
Mattel has trouble with certain colors for some reason. The best example of this I have seen is blond hair, they cannot seem to get this color right for whatever reason. Some figure it looks like pale yellow, others white & a bit of yellow mixed together.

The face will make or break this figure. The only good Macho scan so far has been the TNF WcW one.
