Update - the original card read "Undertaker leaves his gear in the middle of the ring". This has now been changed to "Undertaker's last ride?". This was obviously a deliberate direction from WWE. So take that for what you will.I've been skeptical of Undertaker's retirement from the time I saw him at WM. The opening of Raw after Mania, with Michael Cole even unsure if it was Undertaker's last match lead me to believe that it wasn't. Now, the newest set of trading cards from WrestleMania, feature one of Undertaker (below) and the caption is "Undertaker's Last Ride?". Neither WWE nor Undertaker (nor anyone else) has affirmed his status. I think if Undertaker were truly retired, that it would be unquestionably so.

He's done. Time to let him go. Gave everything he could muster, did everything he could do and has made the decision to end it for himself. There is a clip of him on youtube walking backstage from the ring after being defeated at the Rumble this year. His walk is so painful and it's hard for him to even step up a small step. He had just had a surgical procedure on his hips only 3 1/2 months prior and probably should have still been on crutches recovering much less out there taking spears and bumps over the top rope. He's had a procedure called hip resurfacing on his left hip a few years ago. There is a steel ball implanted in there and fixtures that hold his pelvis on that side together. I wouldn't be surprised if he did damage to what was done on that procedure years ago, maybe knocked something lose or out of place from the rough matches he's had since. Now he also needs complete replacement on the other side. Even if he manages to get into a state of feeling good and increased mobility and physical shape through patient rehab and rest in the future, he'd be ridiculous to ever risk his body in the ring again. It would be like possibly undoing the surgeries he went in for.

Undertaker is going to undergo several surgeries, including a possible hip replacement. IF he is unable to come back from that, or if at a point in the rehab where he feels like he just can't or doesn't want to come back, WWE will have done the WM33 "retirement" and gotten a WrestleMania moment out of it.
But if he gets all this surgery and is pain free for the first time in a long time, I think he will be back.

I think it's time to come to terms with it. He looked rough at WM this year. Pain free or not, he's done. If not, he's going to tarnish his own legacy.

That gasp of fresh air when he took his hat off for the final time...
That was his last ride.

There's nothing for him left to do, his finished, there no point of him tarnishing the WM moment he had like Flair and wrestle again

I honestly think it is a question mark. Having to have surgeries, and being beat up, it was good to do it now. Roman got so much from beating Taker. His heat doubled. If he's not ever able to come back, then they have the moment. I think that theyre strategically not coming right out and saying that he's done. They probably know for certain that even if he's not done, it will be a long while before he returns. Take Mania off next year. Have a full 2 years off. Then if he's willing do 1 more Mania then have the true retirement match.
At the very least, if in 2 years he's says he's done, he'll get the HOF induction and the one last goodbye live on Raw, or maybe even Mania. And that will be the true last goodbye and send off for Taker.

I honestly want him to be done. He had a nice send off in the main event of the biggest show of the year.

Taker I think he is done too and if he is then it is a fitting end to a Hall of Fame career definite Hall of Fame induction especially now hell he will headline probably by next year or by 2019 if anything

If this is the end for him, I'll always have a weird feeling that he didn't do it in Texas, but Florida.
I know it's unlikely given his character and how much he enjoys his privacy, but until he HIMSELF says "I'm done" I'm always gonna have some hope, not next year but maybe a few down the line.
Plus I don't think Stinger will give up the idea of him against Taker.

See something has to be down in writing for it to be legit and in Takers case it's not. He didn't lift the mic and ay he was retired and WWE didn't issue a statement either which means its not officially happened.
It was heavily hinted at but no words from him or the WWE have been spoken.

I cried my eyes out, a twenty five year old man reduced to tears like a little boy, when he started taking off the gloves. I'm not sure why it affected me so much - most likely because the last of my heroes is gone now - but I will be absolutely livid if it turns out to not have been a true farewell. Flair was before my time as a fan, so I understood the gravity of WM24 but didn't appreciate it personally; Undertaker was a huge part of my experience as a fan of wrestling for seventeen years and it drained me by the time he lowered down into the ramp. It had better be for real, because I won't have the same response to his retirement twice.

Just like a boxer who retires hangs up their gloves. Undertaker hung it all up. But one last thing. Im a roman hater, but undertaker always protected the business. And the way to go out is on your back. Now if they take this golden opportunity and make roman a monster heel, nothing wasted. But if he comes out trying to be the good guy still "i didnt want to, i had to" all is gone.

Taker's done, he needs a hip replacement and has scheduled multiple surgeries. No way he'll return after that.

Undertaker should be done. He had a great career. I hope he sticks to his retirement like HBK has. Plus he doesn't need the money like Flair did.

What if he passes the title onto someone else.
Like Viktor The Undertaker.
