That Mattel got scooped on this Hogan is one of the biggest embarrassments throughout their otherwise respectable WWE run. Although it's probably more a result of WWE's relationship with Hogan rather than any fault of Mattel's licensing team, it doesn't make it any less embarrassing. Making matters worse for Mattel, this "knock-off" is actually one helluva figure. Mattel cannot argue this figure's existence into oblivion by claiming that it is an inferior product. Rather, it upstages almost any likeness that Mattel has produced, and at an affordable price to boot. I very much hope WWE contracts with Storm on an exclusive line of legends of figures. They obviously know what they're doing, and they listen to the fans. Pre-ordered! How in the world is this an embarrassment for Mattel? Also...you need to rethink your definition of "knockoff." This is not an example of one. sounds like he was practicing a hhh promo

This figure is so badass. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it listed. I bought one immediately. And now I'm realizing that I may even want a couple more to slap on some trademarked nWo logos. Maybe a red, black & white Mega nWo version.
Plus this figure looks better than any of the Hulk Hogan figure that Mattel had done.
Hey, if WWE & Mattel aren't going to capitalize on Hulk Hogan, I'm glad someone is. No reason for the fans to suffer just because Hogan said some stupid craponce upon a time. He wasn't the first, he won't be the last. No one else was ever grilled as hard. No reason for him to suffer his entire career & pay for the mistake for the rest of his life.
Bring on the Hogan toys. Storm Collectibles keep em coming. If you make more Hogan toys, I'll buy em all.

I'm super proud of Storm Collectibles. Keep it going. There's tons of other wrestlers out there that I want figures for, which Mattel aren't going to make. Seek out those performers and make them some figures.

It's really not, though. I'm not sure you understand, but Mattel could not legally make a Hulk Hogan figure.

I don't know, i it'd fit better with JAKKs figures rather than Mattel, in terms of size and scale

I don't know, i it'd fit better with JAKKs figures rather than Mattel, in terms of size and scale How so? Did you see the pic down a ways on page 1, with the Storm Collectibles & Mattel figures standing back to back? It's damn near the same as a Mattel figure. Jacks figures were significantly taller & way more bulky looking.
This thing is definitely closer to a Mattel figure than Jakks.

Storm beat them to the market with a Hollywood Hogan figure, which is a major blow from a marketing standpoint, and it will also likely impact the sales of Hollywood Hogan once Mattel can finally release him. It's especially more embarrassing when Mattel presented a prototype of the figure. This is what they get for stalling on releasing highly demanded figures - instead they release every obscure variation of Hogan, yet they fail to release his one other iconic look beyond the red/yellow. They got greedy by trying to build to some fictional crescendo of Hulk Hogan products, and now they have egg on their face, BROTHER.

look Storm collectible's hands and thigh/legs; they're thicker in comparison to Mattel's

look Storm collectible's hands and thigh/legs; they're thicker in comparison to Mattel's Hands... maybe. The rest... no way. Definitely not enough to make me feel like it's closer to Jakks than Mattel. Just google search a comparison pic between Jakks and Mattel. The difference makes Jakks figures look massive. This Storm Hogan is way closer to Mattel.

easy pre-order for me. I have added it to my next order, which is now Finn RSC, Finn Summerslam, DM Macho and this. Very excited for it. I still hope we see the Mattel version at some point, but this will be a cool figure to add, almost as an 'oddity' of sorts. Love the look MOC.

A lot of people are gonna be finding out pretty soon if they don't keep them MOC I did hear that with the larger scale figures like Mike Tyson, that there is an issue where the shirts wind up dying the skin from rubbing on the skin too much. Any truth to this?

This is one of the most embarrassingly ridiculous paragraphs I will ever read. How am I blindly defending Mattel? How can this be embarrassing to Mattel when they cannot legally produce a Hogan figure? Here's your answer...it's not. This will not affect Mattel's eventual release of nWo Hogan, even a little bit. I will buy one of the Storm Hogan figures. I will also buy the eventual Mattel nWo Hogan figure, along with the overwhelming majority who also bought the Storm Hogan. What you wrote is pure nonsense. Do better next time!
