I was just thinking about the roster differences between the SNES and Genesis versions of WWF Royal Rumble.
They each shared seven wrestlers: Randy Savage, Razor Ramon, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Lex Luger and Crush.
The SNES version's exclusive wrestlers were: Mr. Perfect, Ted DiBiase, Ric Flair, Tatanka and Yokozuna.
The Genesis version's exclusive wrestlers were: Rick Martel, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Irwin R. Schyster, Papa Shango and Hulk Hogan.
Which version's line-up did you prefer?

SNES. Flair and Perfect put it over the top and even my Genesis-owning friends came over to my house to play RR.

Imagine the up raw today if xbox and ps4 had different exclusive characters on each game. There would be riots on the streets

SNES. Mr. Perfect was my go-to on the game and he wasn't on the Genesis version. I did play a ton with IRS when I went to my neighbors house because he had the Sega version. Perfect-Flair trumps Hogan-IRS for me though. I was always a SNES guy anyway.

came out about 6 years and 2 console generations for Sega later. Not even comparable things.

Only had an SNES. Aside from the fact Flair & Perfect are two of my favorites, once I learned of the roster differences on Genesis, I felt vindicated after having to pass up on a bloodless Mortal Kombat 1.

I loved the Genesis version more, I thought Papa Shango was really cool and Hulk Hogan was the staple of a wrestling game.
Such a tease they wouldn't even have Flair vs. Hogan in a video game Battle...I don't get it!
