What are some of your favorite RVD moments and/or matches? Matches: RVD v. Chris Jericho (Hardcore Title Match; Unforgiven 2001) - Holds a special place in my heart, I was there and was blown away. Still a good match today. Moment:

"This is the ECW World Championship, and I will wear it proudly. [Points to the WWE Championship on his left shoulder] And look at this one—it spins!!" ECW, June 13, 2006: after being proclaimed the new ECW World Champion and opting to keep the WWE Championship as well.

I'm paraphrasing, but that time Mike Awesome was cutting a promo in ECW
Mike Awesome: I'm the champion! I'm the best! I'm the whole f*cking show -
*RVD's music immediately hits*
Also his selling of the Stunner

Loved the series of matches with Guerrero. Prime example of what the workhorse title should be about.
ONS is a classic Also this

I always a big RVD fan. Loved his runs in ECW and WWE and even his brief WCW run as ''Robbie V''.
Best ECW TV Champ ever.

I love the skit during the Invasion period where Booker T and Rob Van Dam got into an argument and Booker asked "Do you know who I am? I am a 5-time, 5-time, 5-time, 5-time, 5-time WCW Champion!" and RVD was just like "Wow, cool. I didnt know you lost it that many times."

The RVD vs Jerry Lynn matches from ECW are among my all time favorites and RVD will always be my favorite wrestler.
I can't wait for the WWE to induct him into the HoF.

Man, RVD was so ing over in 2001 it was insane! I honestly think you could say that after Rock and Austin he was getting the biggest reactions during this time. I always felt it was a huge, huge mistake not having RVD win the title at No Mercy. Even if he had lost it the next night on RAW or a few weeks later. I really think that it would have set him up as a legit main event star.

The Ladder Match with Jeff Hardy at Summerslam and of course the Cena fiasco at ONS.
Sad that his last runs a few years ago were so lackluster...

probably the greatest athlete to step in the ring in modern times. durable, insanely athletic, and unique.
i think he could have been absolutely huge if the politics in the wwe didn't hold him back.
his stretcher match with sabu, ladder match tagging with sabu against the eliminators, his cocky 'i'm switching to mondays' 97 gimmick, match with jeff hardy at invasion....list goes on. rvd was the man

How isn't he in the HOF yet? I think it's because he isn't really retired, and comes back every once in a while for a few months.

How isn't he in the HOF yet? I think it's because he isn't really retired, and comes back every once in a while for a few months. Was hoping for another run, since the brand split is back. Only problem is, they view him as an enhancement guy and that's not what he should be.
