Not a new notion, based upon other pictures that popped up on google. It seems nobody was particularly impressed with the announcer version of Gorilla Monsoon that Jakks put out. This was my first attempt at torso and crotch cracking, as well as removing joint pegs, and the parts were a mix of announcer Gorilla and announcer Tazz that were repainted and trimmed.

im not fond of the Jakks figs that had cloth front shirts, it just seems off to me, but i do have the CS Bearer and announcer Monsoon regardless lol

I'll admit, I wasn't keen on the cloth shirts either. Jakks seemed to take a cheap method with them, and could clearly produce fine white shirts out of molded plastic. I will say, Gorilla's cloth shirt came very much in handy when I was working on this figure, as I painted it and trimmed it into his vest, with Tazz's molded white shirt underneath.
