Was watching this the other day and man Owen was gold as the heel announcer alongside J.R. and McMahon. Ripping into the Godwins, calling Yokozuna a fat slob when they teamed together and saying Jake Roberts shouldn't be in the ring at 60 years old were just a few highlights that had me rolling. After he retired he could've been fantastic in the booth because he had great humor and wit.
It's been nearly 18 years....We all still miss you Owen.

His brief stints on commentary were great, but once he hung up the boots he wasn't coming back for any other on-screen role. Maybe a few cameos over the years and a Hall of Fame induction. Owen was already looking for the exit at the time of his unfortunate death. He wanted to be home with his family.

Yup.....Owen was sharp as hell as a heel announcer. I really enjoyed him in that role.

I agree, he was hilarious on commentary. Always loved Owen. Was my favorite wrestler at the time of his passing. Could not bring myself to go to school the next day (think it was 10th grade). Wish him and Davey Boy were still around.

I always wanted to see Owen/Bulldog vs Bret/Jim! did that ever happen? I know Bret/Bulldog vs Owen/Jim did.

I know Bret/Bulldog vs Owen/Jim did. Unfortunately no. Neidhart left the WWF shortly after SSeries 94 and wouldn't come back until 97 in which the Hart Foundation stable was formed.
