Marvel TNA figures memorium (LOL)

Man, this thread brings me back. I remember being so excited when I went into my local TRU one day and seeing the set with Christian with the NWA Title. I had been on the hunt for it for a few weeks. It's crazy to think that it's been 10 years now.

This thread brought back memories! I use to really like this line I have a few in my collection as well.

Aside from Mattel and the WCW Marvel/Toybiz line, this is my favorite wrestling figure line.

It's a shame TNA dropped Marvel for Jakks. There was so much potential, and they were ahead of the curve at the time. Aside from the occasional shoddy paint apps, questionable parts choices(Samoa Joe's giraffe neck), and poor quality(my Petey Williams figure pretty much falling apart straight out of the package), these were some of the best figures of all time.

I still cherish my Jeff Jarrett and Christopher Daniels figures, and that NWA belt is still one of the best figure belts of all time, if not the best, looking at the detail.

I would love to see a Marvel NJPW line. Would be so awesome....

Yeah I've been revisiting this line pretty heavily as of late.

I can't believe how many prototypes and designs are still out there, that we've never seen.

There is a Brother Ray with no sleeves and a plaid vest as well as a Trinity finished prototype figure that we might never see, just to name a few.

It has gotten really expensive unless you can find the figures in person to collect these guys.

I wish I would have been more committed to the line as it was coming out instead of splitting my funds between the lacking WWE figures at the time and these.

That Kurt Angle prototype was going to come with one of his cool hoodies in the released version.

If I ever win the lottery I'm going to continue this line 😋

Had a few of these back in the day, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Abyss, Chris Sabin & Ron Killings, first thing I did back then was a TNA invasion for my fig fed, good times, I still have the X-Division Championship. Defo preferred these to the Jakks ones.

I was lucky enough to get the entrance gear through a trade on Instagram. It's awesome next to the Elite 3 entrance gear. I'm a mark for Christian and his awesome jumpsuits. What Sabin attire is that? White trunks?

Damn!!! Nice dude!!! Now the more I see that Sabin, the more I want it. Hopefully I can find one. And a reasonably priced Alex Shelley.

Anyone else have trouble picking these up loose?

I ordered a few loose and though they weren't in terrible condition these figures do tend to scuff or lose paint pretty easy, I think I'll be sticking with carded and opening them myself from now on.

On that topic, does anyone find these to be one of the less desirable lines to keep unopened?

I am pretty split usually between keeping my toys opened or closed but for this line I found after I had a few packaged guys I was more than content with opening them all up and bashing them into my six sided rings...is it just me?

What is it about these guys that makes you want to open them so much more than other lines? Is it the extra POA or the different ring or the wild X-Division move sets?
