He was just 65. It's sad to think him, Buddy Rose and Sherri have now all passed.

i haven't seen too much of somers' career, but i am familiar with his feud with the rockers and just how amazingly seasoned him and buddy rose were as ring generals. excellent heels that played their roles to a t.

I agree. The chemistry they had with the Rockers was awesome stuff. Definitely a highlight for me from those final years of the AWA. |

I got to see a lot of him and Rose on ESPN Classics a few years ago, when they would show old AWA episodes every night at 11 pm. I used to get so excited each night to watch them, since I never saw them in the 80s when they aired. So to me, it was all new and exciting stuff, even if it was 25 or so years old at the time since it first aired.
