I also miss the way storylines used to blend into eachother. From watching old episodes of Smackdown they feel like an actual roster who all get involved where there may be a background segment that creates 2/3 mini-storylines within it, setting up matches for that night on Smackdown. It feels like TV matches these days don't really have a purpose. Even back then some of the set-up would be a bit contrived but at least it is something and a reason for these two to be fighting.
It came back a bit last week on Raw with a backstage segment that seen Angle leave the building, Ambrose return, The Miz getting ready for a match and Cass being attacked. Segments like this don't seem to happen anymore that contain different feuds and characters in one. That's something that I miss.

personality!!!!! The whole WWE is just so overproduced and manufactured that it is near impossible for any character to organically flourish. Imagine if Rock or Austin or even people like Savage, Hogan, Warrior and so on were in this era. They would never in a million years shine like they did. Nothing feels special any more I also miss when watching wrestling did not feel like a part time job. How anyone can keep up with all the weekly programming WWE puts out is beyond me.

I miss every wrestler being involved in some sort of programme, and the show not revolving around one or two storylines while everyone else just has random, meaningless matches each week.

I miss promos. I also miss JR. I watched Triple H vs Shawn Michaels at Summerslam 02 the other day. JR was almost as big a part of that match as the wrestlers themselves.

Someone throwing a fireball into an opponent's face. A bounty being placed on a wrestler & other wrestlers trying to collect it. Actually being surprised at the unveiling of a mystery opponent. The use of a shoe or brass knuckles as a foreign object. Interviews at ringside after a squash match.
