wow, mr perfect wins this eh! woulda thought dibiase or piper would been #1.
for those piucking perfect, when would you have like to see him be the champ? during his heel/IC champ days or in 1993 when he turned good? I felt he shoulda got the belt anf KOTR win over Bret at that time.

I know this had no chance of happening but I would've loved a run with the belt during his brief feud with Hogan in late 89/early 90.

Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff & Bam Bam Bigelow for me.
Hogan defeating Orndorff in the cage @ WM2 for the title would have been a hell of a lot better than what we got.
Vince missed a massive trick with Bam Bam Bigelow in 1995. He should have been kept heel, won KOTR then the title @ Summerslam.. He was turned face in a Main Event scene awash with faces.....Bret, HBK, Razor, Diesel & UT.....he floundered then left.

A feud with Diesel for the belt at SSlam would've been so much better than Diesel vs Mabel that's for sure.

It also offered Vince WAY more storyline opportunities with Bam Bam as a top shelf heel. He misused his roster chronically in 1995. RR,WM & Summerslam could all have been 10 times better.

Just look at the KOTR that year. He had Taker and HBK in the tournament yet he has Mable go over SMH.

Its amazing what brainfarts Vince had with his roster in 1995.

I gave a sole vote to Steamboat because I am a big fan. However, it's a shame Mr. Perfect didn't have a run

I felt like Ive answered this before but I guess not. The only name(s) on the list that could have even remotely worked were Piper & DiBiase. Its not that a guy like Perfect, Rude or Steamboat weren't world title caliber wrestlers, they clearly were....but none of them were as over nor had the heat that could have put them in that spot. Piper clearly was RED HOT as a heel in his feud with Hogan. While I wouldnt have put the title on him for a lengthy period of time a month or 2 run could have been done easily. The same could have been said for DiBiase. He could have easily had a Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania type run.

Luger was primed to win it a SS93 after the Lex Express tour!
