Zeus Superstar Billy Graham Sensational Sherri Surfer sting Greg valentine Hercules

As much as I would love it I cant see it happening. First, they tried it with a Legends line which also included 2 packs and unfortunately it tanked. Whether it being attire choices or just the lineup of guys itself it didn't do well. Secondly, there are only so many guys to make either because of contracts or the inability to sign guys bc of the lawsuit. We will end up with repaints and it will kill the line. Also may kill other FBs in other lines like HOF. Thirdly, there is not enough of a market for more obscure guys. While I absolutely love getting Warlord and Bezerker most kids probably don't. Look at Tugboat and Tito warming.

I wouldn't mind seeing more Lost Legends style one-off waves so I can hopefully catch up on some figs that I've missed (Vader, Rikishi, ABA Taker spring to mind) but I don't know if it'd be a line that'd sell well enough to warrant its own series. But then again Tough Talkers are a thing so never say never I guess. This for me too

The Mattel "Legends" line. Yup that was kind of a flop. Warmed like crazy The legends line failed because everyone had Jakks hangover and in an effort to release guys not previously released by Jakks, they made some lousy choices. An all flashback line would sell fine, but with Mattel releasing a new elite line every month and a half (in addition to the retailer exclusive lines) it's not really necessary.

If it was feasible/cost-effective for Mattel (so the line wouldn't flop), I would love a Flashback-only series... Flashbacks are my main wants/priority.
I think it would have to be done in such a way so there isn't a "big" change in the line... eg. the Elite figures are packed 8 figures per-box (6 figures, with 2 duplicated) - so maybe have a Flashback series of 4 figures, and reduce the main/current Elite series to 4 figures per-series (...with Flashbacks, there's only 3-4 current figures every series anyway).
So basically, you have a current Elite line and a Flashback Elite line (of 4 figures each), shipped together/in the same case. The only difference would be there wouldn't be any duplicated figures in the case - and the figures would only advertise/show the other figures in their series on the back of the box.
Of course, the budget of the figures would be affected though - a similar thing actually happened with the Battlepacks: there used to be 3 different packs per series (with accessories), then it changed to what we have currently - 4 packs per-series, with no accessories. Maybe if they had to get rid of the stands and a microphone type accessory here or there in the Elite line to keep the costs the around the same, people wouldn't mind too much?

The Mattel "Legends" line. Oh ok, I had no idea the the Legends were considered a flashback series. What did you think the WWE Legends series was? I'm baffled as to what else anyone would have thought was in that line other than wrestlers from the old days.

I just wasn't thinking about it as a flashback series dude, but hey it works (or didn't work in that case unfortunately) so chill bro, it's all good. 😎

Last year, in the regular Elite line alone, we had 22 Flashbacks - so only 12 a year would be a big come-down.

Half of Elite 47a or b is rotting at my targets. Undertaker, Kamala and magnum. Business wise not a good idea. Peppering in one or two in a line is the way to go. And continuation of HOF line.

I was just thinking about that, "United we stand, divided we fall", like modern/developmental/classic figures are easier to sell when each assortment has a little of each to avoid warmers.
