Austin is talking trash as he's forcibly taken to the back, while Farooq gets thrown to the outside. Bret and Shawn are now face to face. The fans are on their feet, will it be Bret? Vader is beating all comers as WWF Champion in his title reign he has beaten The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Sycho Sid not once but twice and now he has beaten Faarooq of The Nation...I mean Vader once again proving that he is a monster hell he is a powerhouse he & Cornette remind me so much of Heyman & Brock in this Attitude Era
But at the same time I personally think that it was a mistake to have Bret win the Rumble because it should have been Austin especially considering in real life in 1997 it was Austin but also Austin is a 3 time winner too...almost like history is being changed which I still don't get
Austin...putting him in a program with Ken Shamrock the jury is still out for me on that one because the only way it can realistically work is if you have a Submission Match between these 2 and if that happens I wonder if a "double turn" will happen?
HBK/Taker program in 1997 could it work? I mean if the Streak is on the line Maker's 5-0 streak being on the line then let's see

Sycho Sid def. Flash Funk via pinfallStone Cold Steve Austin gets in the ring to close off RAW and talks trash about Ken Shamrock. I'm so sick and tired of Ken Shamrock who is all talk and thinks he can just come around here in my ring and do whatever he wants. I can beat him, I can beat him in this ring, I can beat him in an octogon, hell I can beat him in a volcano because I don't back down from any challenge. You want to fight, I'll give you a fight. Why don't you come in right now in this ring and let's settle this once and for all...oh right you're in another state signing autographs. Well son Stone Cold doesn't need to sign autographs, all I need is to drink a couple'beers and kick a$$. So how about it let's make it happen at Wrestlemania 13, the unlucky 13 and that'll be unlucky for you, that's where I'll open up a can of whoop a$$ on ya and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so!

Monday Night RAW February 24th, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim RossContract Signing between Bret "the Hitman" Hart and Vader Vader is in the ring with Cornette with a table in the middle and President Perfect. Mr. Perfect calls out the Hitman who makes his way to the ring to a pop. Perfect: Welcome to the contract signing for the main event at Wrestlemania 13, between WWF Champion Vader managed by Cornette and the No. 1 challenger former two-time WWF Champion, Bret "the Hitman" Hart. Cornette: Now hold on just a minute, because I'm sure everyone here knows that Vader is going to win this one. But before he does, I want Bret Hart to know about a special stipulation in this contract. Bret: I ain't afraid of stipulations. Cornette: Fair enough, because the stipulation is that if Vader wins, pinfall or submission, DQ or Countout, Bret...you can never, and I mean never ever again ask for a title shot in the WWF! (Bret looks a bit concerned) If you can only see your face right now in the mirror, ha, you're afraid Bret. This could very well be your last time, heck I think this should be considered your retirement match, because your end is near! Bret: (takes the mic and a deep breath) Makes me wonder Mr. Perfect if you're still after me for ending your career by agreeing to this. Alright if it has to be this way, if I have to give it all up, if this has to be the last chance I could ever step in the ring for the WWF Championship, so be it. Give me that pen and let me sign...(Bret signs) Perfect: Alright Mr. Cornette we need your signature and for Vader. Vader: (they sign) You're making a big mistake Bret. You're looking at the monster, the man, because I am the man. I've beaten the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Sycho Sid, Faarooq, I've taken them all on, beaten them all! What makes you think you can take me on? Bret: I am the excellence of execution, the best there is, the best there was... Suddenly Vader smashes Bret's head on the table. Perfect tries to stop him, but Vader pushes him aside. Vader grabs Bret and lands the Vaderbomb through the table! Bret is out cold as Cornette grabs the mic.Cornette: Come Wrestlemania Bret, you're whole life is going to fall apart because it's time, it's Vader time! RAW IS WAR March 10th, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler, and Jim RossThe debut of RAW is WAR, the new Monday Night RAW format begins. This is Vince's declaration of war on WCW's Nitro and will from now on mostly be a live show. The show begins with "The Beautiful People" music playing and pyros as fans are going wild. RAW is WAR is followed by the second hour package known as "WARZONE" (to be easy it'll just be called RAW is WAR). Jim Ross is in the ring and brings out UFC Fighter Ken Shamrock. Shamrock talks about his successful career as a fighter (which Vince allows in this timeline to bring in more hype for WMXIII). He's faced guys like Royce Gracie. He's beaten Dan Severn once to become the UFC Superfight Champion, and traveled around the world from Puerto Rico to Japan and even became Japan's Openweight Champion. He's had more wins than he can count. Ken: Stone Cold is no different. He thinks he's a fighter, and accepting a Submission match was stupid of him, when to be honest the only submission hold he knows I'm sure, is a sleeper hold, I mean face it, Stone Cold is just another one on the list. Austin's music bursts to a huge unexpected pop from the crowd. Austin gets in the ring and gets in Ken's face.
Austin: You talk about how you've travelled around the world fighting guy after guy, but you've never been in the ring with Stone Cold. You've never seen the kind of rattlesnake I am, the toughest SOB there is and at Wrestlemania XIII the world will know it. ABC News can call you the Most Dangerous Man, well they haven't seen me at my best son. You don't want me at my best, because at my best all those guys you talk about wouldn't stand a minute against Stone Cold! Ken: You're just a loud mouth redneck. Austin: And you're a piece of trash! Suddenly Austin kicks Ken and stuns him! Austin flips the bird and talks trash on Ken. Austin laughs and gets in on JR's face. Austin: You think this is gonna stop me? Suddenly Ken is up faster than anyone has ever gotten up from the Stunner and knocks down Stone Cold into an ankle lock! Austin shouts till WWF Officials stop Ken. Austin is taken to the back, but he doesn't want help and walks on a limp.Rocky Maivia (c) (w/Mason) def. Aldo Montoya via pinfall to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship

- I mean I wonder if after that match if Austin could be heading towards a "babyface" turn truly becoming the Texas Rattlesnake? Austin more or less gained respect in this Submission Match even though he did lose but Austin never tapped out he passed out from the pain but no doubt Austin's ankle has gotta be broken it has gotta be shattered
- Bret Hart of all people is the one to end Vader's WWF Championship title reign I was surprised because Vader during his title reign he was so dominant so dominating beating his opponents decisively taking on all comers and hell during the match he was dominating Bret but somehow Bret beats Vader doing the unthinkable and now that Bret is the WWF Champion Vader no doubt is going to want a rematch for the title considering he was the champion and he is entitled to a rematch
- Taker goes 6-0 at WrestleMania...Shawn Michaels becomes the 6th victim in The Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak well I wonder if after this victory by Taker just where he goes from here? But also after this loss where Michaels goes from here considering he lost on the Grandest Stage of Them All but Michaels lately has been either drunk or high because at this time in real life Michaels was heavy into drugs and this is just a precursor to his DX days anyway
- Rocky Maivia is still the WWF Intercontinental Champion and he beats Ahmed Johnson to retain...Rock I can eventually see him taking over The Nation of Domination overthrowing Faarooq as leader and the other Nation members turning on Faarooq I don't see it happening right away but I see it happening eventually with Rock declaring himself "The Rock" and The Rock declaring himself the new ruler of The Nation
