- Vader once again proving why he is a Beast I mean he not only beat one he beat 2 men single-handedly beating The Godwinns in a Handicap Match...Vader went nuts and obviously dominated both men and it isn't like The Godwinns are small men they are big men just as big as Vader and he manhandled them...I mean Vader has been on a tear ever since he lost the WWF Championship but since Vader is getting his rematch for the WWF Championship Bret Hart's title reign as WWF Champion may not last all that much longer
- I think it is safe to say that Austin is more or less a babyface he is making that transition into being a babyface and the fans keep cheering him but the way The Nation left Austin laying specifically "The Rock" Rocky Maivia the WWF Intercontinental Champion leaving Austin laying I think it is safe to say Austin his next rivalry will be with The Rock with Rock/Austin's rivalry being the rivalry of The Attitude Era and it is born right here well more or less

Is this the start of Bret The Hitman Hart the WWF Champion turning heel? I mean he has been showing heelish tendencies as of late especially attacking Vader from behind or using a steel chair on Vader to get him DQed
Rocky Sucks chants...gotta love those and I can see the WWF IC Champion The Rock abandoning the name Rocky Maivia and changing his name to The Rock from now on

RAW is WAR April 14th, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and Honky Tonk Man
RAW opens with a promo by Paul Bearer in the back. Paul is furious and says he has secrets that will shock the world tonight. He opens a challenge to Mankind to take on someone Paul Bearer will be bringing in at In Your House. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Chyna) def. Jesse James via pinfall. The Legion of Doom (c) def. The Godwinns via pinfall to retain the WWF Tag Team ChampionshipsGoldust (w/Marlena) def. The Sultan (w/Iron Sheik) via pinfallStone Cold Steve Austin def. Rockabilly (w/HTM) via pinfall.
Austin makes his return, though he limps a bit, he completely dominates the match and ends it two minutes in with the stunner. After the match, the NoD make there way out and surround Austin. Suddenly Ken Shamrock runs in and it almost looks like he's about to hit Austin, however Shamrock starts helping out Austin to fight off the NoD! Faarooq and Shamrock fight it out, while Austin attacks the Rock, till the Rock runs out and the NoD leave. After a commercial break, Faarooq challenges Shamrock to a match at In Your House this Sunday. The Rock is in the back and says that Austin looks like a cripple out there and that he challenges him to a match at In Your House...but not for the IC title because he doesn't deserve a shot at the title. Mankind def. Ahmed Johnson via submission.
After the match, the arena turns red, and pyros explode with a mysterious masked man in red....it's KANE. He walks out with Paul Bearer who shouts at Kane, Kane nods. Kane gets in the ring as Vince wonders who in the world is this guy. Kane knocks down Mankind at ease and chokeslams him. Bearer is in the ring and gets on the mic: Paul: I told you I would shock the world! Mankind this is my son Kane! Mankind tries to fight back, but Kane starts to choke out Mankind till Mankind passes out as RAW goes off the air.

I think it is a little early try too early for Kane to be making his WWF debut because in real life in 1997 Kane did not even debut until Bad Blood where he interfered in the 1st ever Hell in a Cell Match when he cost his brother The Undertaker the match when he Tombstoned him to Hell allowing HBK to get the victory
Kane making his debut on RAW is a mistake I feel because it would have had more of an impact had it been on PVP
Kane his 1st feud being Mankind...another mistake in my opinion because if anything it would have made more sense to have his first feud be with his brother The Undertaker
And Shamrock he is feuding with The Nation specifically Faarooq...I think that could be interesting
Loving the Rock/Austin rivalry

In Your House 14: Revenge of Vader April 20th, 1997 Rochester CWM, New York (sell out) Hosts: Vince McMahon, Jerry Lawler and Jim RossFREE FOR ALL: Chyna (w/Hunter Hearst Helmsley) def. Sable (w/Mero) via pinfall Jesse James def. Rockabilly (w/Honky Tonk Man) via pinfall. HTM promoted Rockabilly as the "next HTM" and future IC Champion, but Jesse got the pinfall victory with a rollup. British Bulldog (c) def. Savio Vega (w/Mason) via pinfall to retain the WWF European Championship. Savio Vega was named the No. 1 contender for the Euro title two weeks back on Superstars. The Legion of Doom (c) def. The New Blackjacks via Countout to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. Blackjacks want a rematch for the titles. Ken Shamrock def. Faarooq (w/NoD) via DQ. During the match Shamrock managed to get in the ankle lock to the point that the Faarooq started to tap, but D-Lo Brown managed to attack Shamrock for the DQ. Kane (w/Paul Bearer) def. Mankind via pinfall. Kane acts like the Undertaker for most of the match and even finishes it with the Tombestone piledriver. Everyone is wondering what is going on. In the back, Todd tries to get a word with Kane, Kane doesn't say anything, but Paul says that he's his son. Todd says it's odd he's in many ways like the Undertaker, Paul says "no comment" and leaves. Stone Cold Steve Austin def. The Rock (c) (w/Mason) via pinfall in a Non-title Match. Austin's ankle may not be all that great, but he managed to outdo the Rock in their first encounter in the WWF. Austin manages to land a huge stunner sending Rock flying and overselling it for the pinfall victory. Austin gets on the mic and talks trash saying he wants a title shot. ___________________________________________________________ Bret "the Hitman" Hart (c) vs. Vader (w/Cornette) for the WWF Championship in a No DQ Match. The match is No DQ and right away Bret starts using a chair. Vader for the most part of the match uses his weight and fists over Bret. The match gets to the point that Vader gets unmasked for the first time and is cut wide open. Vader continues to bleed as Bret uses everything at his disposal. Later in the match, Vader manages to get in a desperate Vaderbomb and goes for the pin, but the referee was knocked out. Lawler counts to three on commentary signaling that this one should've been over. As Vader tries to wake up the referee and Bret as tough as he is tries to get back up, suddenly out of no where Shawn Michaels runs in the ring and it looks like he's about to knocked down Bret, however he hits the sweet chin music on a bloody Vader in the middle of the ring. Bret says WTF loudly as Shawn leaves the ring. Bret takes the pin regardless for the win. Winner: Bret "the Hitman" Hart via pinfall to retain the WWF Championship
JR screams why Shawn why? Bret tries to understand what went on as he has the WWF title presented to him, but he doesn't look too thrilled as Vader is still knocked out. Bret leaves for the back without celebrating for the PPV to go off the air.

RAW is WAR April 21st, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jerry LawlerRAW starts off with Undertaker confronting Paul Bearer in the back. Taker: You never told me you had a son... Paul: (laughs) O boy wouldn't you like to know! (Kane gets in Taker's face!) Taker: (after a staredown) Who are you? Kane leaves with Paul to get to the ring as Taker has his head down wondering who Kane is. Kane (w/Paul) def. Salvatore Sincere via pinfall
Tiger Ali Singh (RAW debut) def. The Sultan (w/Iron Sheik) via pinfall
Rockabilly (w/HTM) def. Jesse James via pinfall (after HTM grabbed a guitar and smashed it over James' back). The Undertaker def. Hunter Hearst Helsmley (w/Chyna) via DQ. The Rock makes his way out and gets on the mic to trash on Stone Cold. He says that Austin got lucky because the Rock "slipped" when he took that stunner and the ring was too "oily" from all the jabronis that were in the ring that night. The Rock says that there is no way in hell could Steve Austin beat him in a title match and that if Austin wants a title match, he has to go through the whole Nation. So next week on RAW, Austin has to defeat D-Lo Brown his first challenge if he even wants to come close to a shot at the Intercontinental title. Ken Shamrock def. The British Bulldog (c) via Submission in a non-title Match.

RAW is WAR April 28th, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jerry LawlerRAW starts off with Stone Cold Steve Austin making his way to the ring and gets on the mic. Austin: So the Rock wants me to take on a bunch of his goons to get a shot at the IC title. Well I say you can make me fight a hundred guys at once it don't matter because I'm going to open up a can of whoop a$$ so why don't you bring me in whoever it is you want me to fight cause I ain't got all day (The Rock and D-Lo Brown make their way into the ring). Stone Cold Steve Austin def. D-Lo Brown (w/The Rock) via pinfall. Austin: (gets on the mic) Is that all you got you sob? Why don't you come in the ring so I could beat your a$$. The Rock teases that he would get in the ring, but is about to leave till Mark Henry and Farooq make there way out. From the crowd over the railings comes out Kama making his WWF return here. Austin is talking trash till Kama attacks Austin and lands his sitout brainbuster finisher as the NoD laugh it out. Rock gets on the mic and says Kama is Stone Cold's next challenger. Owen Hart def. Rockabilly (w/HTM) via pinfall
Goldust (w/Marlena) fought Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Chyna) to a Double DQ.
The Undertaker def. The British Bulldog (c) via pinfall in a Non-title match
Bret Hart makes his way out with the WWF Championship belt. He talks about Vader being the toughest opponent he's ever faced. He said that at first he thought about thanking Shawn, but he knows Shawn didn't do it out of goodwill for Bret. He says Shawn has always hated Bret, and hates the fact that the Hitman is the WWF Champion again. Shawn appears on the titantron... Shawn: You really should thank me Bret, I'm the one who gave you a chance to defend that title. Bret: O come on Shawn you know that's bull, because let's face it you couldn't beat Vader. Shawn: (get's pissed) Well you couldn't beat me! (they both ramble till Bret gives Shawn a chance) I'm the reason you're standing here today, I'm the reason that belt is there. At least I got the guts to admit that Vader is a monster, but I took him out because I know there is only one way I can get back the WWF Championship and that's from challenging you Bret. Bret: You want a title shot? Well how about it, name a place and you got it. Shawn: That settles it on May 11th, at In Your House 15, the rematch the world's been waiting for...I'll be there.

I can only agree with TG11 on this, I don't understand why you let Kane in early, but Another view of TG11's point is Kane and Undertaker have to be considered brothers, and we gotta know. We have to know if The Undertaker set the family house on fire. As far as the rivalry between Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Nation. Stone Cold knowing that he doesn't walk with nobody and how he is the toughest SOB in the entire world. Glad you got the belt back to The Hitman. Glad he is also back to becoming a face for good. Because his heel run in 1995 and 1996 was awesome. But, It is very cool for Bret to come back, Bret vs Shawn for the WWF Championship at In Your House 15 should be nothing more than a classic. But here's hoping you do the Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series, I'm looking forward for more, as I'm almost starting my Attitude Era too.

Glad someone agrees with me went about it all wrong But with the belt back on The Hitman the infamous Montreal Screwjob of Survivor Series 1997 is going to have to happen just fact of the matter because that is what changed the course of wrestling as we know it Because that is where the Mr Mcmahon character was born It is only a matter of time before Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley along with Chyna and the late Rick Rude form DX

I know that Kane's storyline was great how it originally was, but this diary isn't about copying exactly what originally happened. The purpose to introduce Kane early (especially since he last wrestled as Unabomb and there was no Isaak Yankem) is to bring in a gradual reveal that Kane is really Taker's brother. However he's introduced just as "Paul Bearer's Son". At this moment in time, Taker doesn't know but starts to wonder "could it be?". The story here is that Taker believes his brother and parents are long dead. No one knows the full story yet, but it'll be revealed soon that's the idea here.
It's true that the Montreal Screwjob was the spark into a new era, but the Attitude Era technically was already on its way because of the Monday Night Wars. Austin was being cheered on by this time in real life and Vince would've naturally focused on new people. The Screwjob may or may not happen in this diary. Of course the question of the birth of Mr. McMahon is debateable. What most people forget is that Vince DID in fact have a Mr. McMahon persona way before the Screwjob and it goes all the way back to 1993 when Vince was part of the USWA as a heel promoter (heck he wore the USWA belt for crying outloud! It was always in him) and Bret Hart was fighting as a heel vs. babyface Jerry Lawler.

Stone Cold is on the mic and talks trash about the Nation and says that he's ready to open up a can of whoop a$$ on Kama. Austin waits and waits and says he doesn't have all day. Despite interference from the NoD, Austin lands a stunner on Kama and gets in the pin. Austin: Alright you SOB you're gonna have to give me a title shot at In Your House. Rock: (grabs the mic on the outside) No no, you don't deserve a title shot...let's make a deal. If you beat a man of my choosing at In Your House 15, ha, I'll guaran-damn-tee a title shot for you. And It's going to be none other than Faarooq. Faarooq looks pissed and shocked at the same time and gets into an arguement with the Rock as RAW goes off the air.

Kane (w/Paul) def. Mankind & Goldust in a Handicap match. Kane manages to chokeslam Mankind on the table to leave him on the outside. Kane gets back in the ring and lands the tombstone on Goldust for the win. JR tries to call in an upset, but Lawler says it can't be because he's Bearer's son. _________________________________________________ Undertaker is in an exclusive interview recorded before the PPV with JR. Taker talks about his career and how he's a former two-time WWF Champion and that he would be willing to go for the title again. JR: The Undertaker it seems that your former manager Paul Bearer has made such an impact lately. First he betrays you to help Mankind, and thereafter betrays Mankind in favour of his son. Taker: Paul Bearer was like a father figure to me growing up. He helped me through everything, but it's obvious that he snapped. He's not the same man anymore. JR: Are you surprised that he has a son? Taker: I never knew. I never knew he had a son. JR: What about your family? Taker: I rather not talk about it. JR: I hope you don't mind, but I've done some investigating over the years and I learned that your parents died in a fire long ago. Taker: (looks sad) I was young...it was a tragedy. I don't want to talk about it. JR: According to a file I have here, your parents were not only the ones who died in the fire...there was another... Taker: Enough (gets angry)...may they all rest...in...peace. (gets up and leaves) _________________________________________________ Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Faarooq (w/The Rock) for a shot at the WWF Intercontinental ChampionshipBefore the match, Faarooq argues with the Rock and reminds him that he's the boss. The Rock agrees and starts to overpraise Faarooq and believes there is no way that Austin could beat him. Faarooq gets pumped about it and goes for the match first. Austin is next and gets in the ring as Faarooq starts to attack him. The match is mostly in favour of Faarooq. Austin starts to fire back, but later in the match the Rock attacks Austin on the outside! The Rock gets in the "Rock Bottom" (as it's now called) on Austin on the outside! Rock rolls him back in the ring. Austin can't get up as Faarooq tries and lifts him till Austin gets in a low blow and a desperate Stunner for the pinfall! Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin via pinfall to become the No. 1 Contender for the IC titleThe Rock is in total shock and instead of helping Faarooq he runs off with the IC title. In the back The Rock says that it was a fluke and that there is no way that the roody poo-candy a$$ Stone Cold could ever beat him for the title. _________________________________________________ Bret "the Hitman" Hart (c) vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWF ChampionshipBilled as the rematch the world's been waiting for. Bret and Shawn are pros regardless of their hatred for each other (they don't hate each other as much as they originally did, as Vince has always tried to seperate the two). The match is akin to the original SS97 match, in which Bret even admits was his best match with Shawn (with the obvious exception of the screwjob). Late in the match, Bret gets in the sharpshooter, but Shawn manages to reverse it and goes for the sharpshooter himself! Bret is struggling, but manages to reverse it and get in the sharpshooter till HHH and Chyna for some reason make their way out. Bret breaks the hold and wonders what is going on. Shawn is weakened and hurt, till Chyna distracts the referee for HHH to kick Bret and land the pedigree on a steel chair! Both men are out of it. Austin is replaced with the Undertaker for the match. The Undertaker def. Mark Henry (w/NoD) via pinfall. Austin Stunners Vince for the first time on WWF TV...I wonder if there won't be repercussions for Austin after that?
I wonder about the 1997 King of the Ring tournament too I mean Austin he won it last year in 1996 so it makes me wonder who will win it this year? I mean Triple H well Hunter Hearst Helmsley in real life he won the 1997 King of the Ring tournament so I too wonder if he will win it here in this diary? I mean if he is in the tournament he would be one of my favorites to win it all

RAW is WAR June 2nd, 1997 Hosts: Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler
Vince McMahon is in the ring and gets on the mic. Vince: I suppose everyone out here knows already that I own the World Wrestling Federation. And as Owner there needs to be an understanding between WWF Superstars and myself. These past few weeks I've been assaulted twice. First by Bret "the Hitman" Hart who wants a match with Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Well I'll give it you Bret, you can have him this Sunday. But this is out of the kindness of my heart. You're a veteran of the WWF, you're one of if not the greatest of all time in the WWF. But last week on RAW, two men went at it like rabid dogs. I was fortunate enough not to suffer an injury from the hands of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Stone Cold had no business interupting our broadcast last week. So out of the kindness of my heart dammit I'll give him a chance to apologize. So come on out Austin! (Lawler is in disbelief that Vince has guts). Austin: (walks out to a pop) You come out here and talk about how you were assaulted.
