I've been slowly getting back into collecting and I thought I'd start off by getting the Elite Viktor figure. When I got him in the mail I noticed he had a broken left shoulder joint. When I tried to make a complete rotation it would get stuck. I tried forcing it and the torso cracked open on that side.
I have a friend that collects for display purposes and I asked him if he'd be ok swapping Viktors since it still looked good for display. He obliged and when I went to test his Viktor the exact same shoulder was broken, it would get stuck and I felt the torso would tear open if I tried forcing it like the other one.
I tested my luck and ordered a different one from eBay and wouldn't you know it, the left shoulder is broken, won't make a complete rotation.
I then sent messages to eBay sellers that had him listed and asked them to test this joint for me to see if their Viktors were also flawed. All 3 of them said they couldn't make a full rotation with the left arm. So, is this an issue that effects every single Viktor elite? I really want him but if this is the case I guess I have to move on.

this happened to my elite 45 rollins, i had to crack it open and saw that the left shoulder joint was pretty deformed. i had to swap it with the basic version so it would turn properly and not open the torso whenever i turn the arm.

I would do the same but I can't stand doing a torso crack, the figures are never the same afterwards.

I'm pretty sure mine's okay. I'll check when I get home and report back.

I have two sets of The Ascension and both my Viktors don't have any issue at all with their left shoulder movements.

I had the same problem with mine last xmas. Just heated it with a hair dryer for a min.or two and it was fine. I used this hair dryer method and it seemed to work. I heated him up, moved it around and it kind of grinded off whatever was keeping it from moving. I called it good and glued the cracked torso back together as best I could. About 2 hours later I went to make sure the arm still moved but it felt kind of grindy again and was getting stuck. I slowly forced it and it made a loud cracking noise but it wasn't from the torso cracking open again. His arm is super loose now and just flops around. Also whatever pieces of plastic it grinded off the disfigured peg ended up getting stuck in the ab crunch joint. The figure seems like a mess to me now, just gonna try my luck with one more.

Mine had it but after posing him and running his shoulder under a hot tap his shoulder is fine. There must have been an issue with the batch.
I'd suggest running it under warm tap water and gently moving it.
