I was just writing a post in the Mattel section of the board about how they don't mold wrist bands and hand tape on a 2017 "Elite" Kevin Owens but they molded wristbands on my 80s rubber wrestlers and the quality of the wrist band molds on Hasbro Bret Hart? Wow.
Even lines like Toybiz and OSFTM some people look down on had their fully molded wrist and hand tape.
Any complaints or comparisons like this from collectors who prefer the older stuff? (Or who just collect both?)
I was also saying actually the other day how a cage attachment was standard for OSFTM and Galoob not to mention they, Hasbro and Toybiz had sound effect ring steps but now when I go to Wal-Mart and see a modern wrestling ring it just seems so weak by comparison, just packaged as tightly and lacking as possible.
Sure they've done a few modern accessory packs and specialty rings but most of what I see the biggest thing about them is they're bouncy, they don't even come with the cool slot underneath for weapon storage (which I must admit was one of the simplest, best ideas from Jakks).

Only gripe I have is that Jakks seem to try and make everybody. But to be honest I got out after first few series of cs said stopped watching. Other than Mattel kills it for my money.

Your buying the wrong Mattel ring. Buy the Authentic Scale Ring. It's not bouncy, it has interchangeable skirts/aprons/turnbuckles/posts, it has the ability to have weapons under it. It's big.

I meant their retail mass market releases. Do those ever go to stores? I'm hoping the Elite Goldberg ring floods the market.
