Was any plans with WWE to him keep around in the 90's ? Why did he leave? and did he ever end in WCW?

He was Z-Gangsta in WCW in the mid 90s whenever Hogan showed up

Vince originally planned Zeus vs Hogan at WM 6 but the reactions from their previous tag matches were poor from fans so he axed it. Thank God he did I might add. He left the WWF shortly after the tag team cage match in December 89.
Zeus would later have a very brief run in WCW in 96 as ''Z-Gangsta''. He would appear in that Doomsday cage match at Uncensored that year which was one of the most ridiculous matches ever but it was fun to watch in a train wreck type of way.

I still laugh when I think of that Uncensored match, when the idiots in WCW, didn't think that naming Jeep Swenson The Final Solution, might piss some people off. And apparently their explanation when they got criticism was they didn't realize it was associated with the Nazis. As for Zeus, I know he had at least one match down in Puerto Rico for WWC, against Abdullah the Butcher. |

I'm all for classic wrestling nostalgia, but Zeus was the drizzling sh*ts haha. I know they were trying to tie into No Holds Barred, but the whole thing was kind of lame in a "so good it's bad" kinda way.

I know they were trying to tie into No Holds Barred, but the whole thing was kind of lame in a "so good it's bad" kinda way. he did suck. they coulda taught a couple moves at least. but I LOVED that period/movie/matches. Zues was an unstoppable monster. used to do Rumbles with figs and him clearing people out, UNTIL Andre came in headbutted him and tossed him, lol! saw movie at theaters too! |

Zeus did scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. He seemed so unstoppable. Thankfully Hulk Hogan prevailed!

89 is the 1st year I remember well when I comes to wrestling. I was 7 and and he was a bad scary dude to me.
He was terrible though looking back on it obviously. He could've tried to learn a few moves.

That and his role in the FIRST Friday movie were his best. For some reason I got Killer Croc vibes off of him in TDK. |
