AJPW CURRENT TIME WITH A TWIST

Jun Akiyama: We are here to today as one as we are prepared to be one joint promotion, but still have separate titles and rosters. Wrestlers will be able to be used in each promotion with each champion able to defend their belt in either promotion.

Yuji Nagata: As Jun mentioned, all of the present day champions will continue to hold their title that they earned. This means that Okada can defend the IWGP Heavyweight championship on a AJPW against either a wrestler of their roster, or off of New Japan's roster. I've always had a soft spot for AJPW, even after leaving the promotion and this working agreement has been in the works for several months.

Jun Akiyama: This has been discussed in a casual conversation with Mr. Nagata and the more we talked about it, the more we thought something like this could work. We want to stress that each promotion is it's own, but wrestlers will appear for both companies on more then a regular basis. This also opens up a tremendous opportunity to go into the American market as they are have been partners with ROH wrestling for several years and have been seen every week in the States on AXS TV. We will also be able to use wrestlers from CMLL and have access to the Mexican market as well.

Yuji Nagata: That's correct Jun. This is basically a 4 promotion deal, since we are partners with ROH and CMLL in North America. This will benefit the wrestlers, the companies and most importantly, the fans all around the world. We will have a roster on both of our websites within a few days with all the champions listed.
