I'm currently redoing my shelves and I like to group my figs by era. There always 2 shelves I dont feel 100% on and that my 90-95 (new era/wcw) and my pre 1989 shelf. I have this pic here showing them divided with the top half being the pre 1989 stuff. Is there any changes you guys would make? Thanks! free photo hosting websites

Sting and the warrior on top are from 1990. Typhoon is probably 1991.

I'd move the black robe flair down too as I associate that robe with his 91-93 fed run mostly. Plus then one flair in each.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter, but I would find it difficult setting it up pre90 & Post 90.
You got "new gen" guys in there with "Golden Era" guys such as Macho King and HHH.
You would have too many on one shelf but I look at Mania8 as the end of the Golden Era. Definitely by the end of 92.
That would put Macho King, Shango, Warrior, Tugboat up with the others. Bulldog and Perfect also IMO but they could be either. Nasty Boys too as they were WWF pre 93 but WCW post. That Bam Bam is early also but he was a part of post 92 WWF also.
Edit: you could move Lawler down as he wasn't in WWF until later though guess figure depicts him from before. Kamala is another fringe guy when thinking about his later run. It's a lot a variables in there. Ultimately whatever you like.

Tugboat should be in the Hulkamania Era display while Typhoon can be in the New Generation Era

Sting, Warrior & Typhoon need to come down as they're attires all based on 90s+
Tugboat needs to stay in 90s as he made his debut in 90.
Mr. Perfect could go either way as he wore the attire late 89/early 90

I think the New Gen is probably '93/'94 to mid '97.

Tugboat did debut in 89 but didn't appear on television until 1990. 89 he worked house shows. So Tuggers should be 1990. Can you guys believe he almost headlined Wrestlemania 7 against Hogan?

I'd put macho king and bambam in the 89 shelve I would too if it was my collection. The characters fit in that era even though the tights dont.

Tugboat was like 90-91 Typhoon was like 92 Typhoon could be on the 91 shelf, too, since he made the turn in mid-1991.

Bam Bam is Rumble 93 or NJPW 1992 when he teamed with Vader against the Steiners.

Whilst my displays aren't perfectly chronological (Pure laziness),
I have an Attitude era Shelf.
A golden roster shelf where it represents when I first started watching wrestling.
For 80's up to 97, I work to event timelines. It is very easy to name events for all unique outfits. And where the events aren't that important, or an attire was worn for a long time, I try to put the attire in near it's biggest match.
More recently in the RA and Mattel era, I have tried to build around the biggest feuds and most memorable matches, Taker vs HBK and HHH, at 4 WM's, Cena v Punk Feud, Rock v Cena Feud. along with some of my favourite Mattel figures from the era, and one and done like Mike Knox and Hurricane.
RA is particularly under represented by Mattel, and I guess that's because it a lot of wrestlers are not that memorable (they sucked), and Jakks made them all recently anyway.
And then a current Roster shelf
