I picked up Elite Series 107 Grayson Wallerat Walmart this morning. And Legends Series 23 Hogan and Big Bubba at the Monroe NY Target. Nothing was out at Target so the employee got them from the stockroom for me, but she couldn’t find the other two Legends or the UE Undertaker. So I ended up ordering the UE Undertaker on-line.

After hitting these two Walmarts for 4 mornings straight I finally found the Walmart Exclusive Monday Night Wars Ultimate Edition Bret “the Hitman” Hart & “Rowdy” Roddy Piper figures.

”Rowdy” Roddy Piper - I think all three heads captured his likeness very well.

Bret “The Hitman” Hart - with the glasses on the second and third heads look like Bret, but with them off all miss the mark. (The second is probably the best of the three)

We drove over 157 miles today hitting 4 Walmarts hoping to find the UE Piper and Hitman. Monroe had nothing as expected. Middletown had about 4 each of Lashley, Bianca and Angle. Monticello NY had the same three as Middletown but in less quantities. But they did have one each of the Superstars Hogan, Andre and Doink set. So I picked up Hogan and Andre. Then at the Newburgh store I picked up a Knuckle Crunchers Seth Rollins

While not a Mattel figure my PowerTown Wrestling Diamond Collection Kerry Von Erich arrived today. Here’s my first impression thoughts. Overall I really think it’s a very nice figure. But I feel his hands (especially the fist) and feet are too small. (The feet are the size of Mattel’s) I feel like the lower legs should be slightly longer. They cut the boots at slight angles so the legs look slightly bow legged which doesn’t help with the visual. And the jacket was damn near impossible to remove. (I am not even attempting to put it back on in fear of breaking the arms.)

I picked up another Best of Ultimate Edition Bret “Hitman” Hitman figure to open and he other than the pinless elbows he doesn’t have any of the updated articulation. (butterfly joints, drop-down hips) but he does have the molded skin tone torso.

My two Mattel Creations Coliseum Collection Hart Foundation arrived today from Mattel. Both set were the blue cards.
Bret “Hitman” Hart - Like I mentioned the Bret in the set I opened there’s a few scratches on the heart logo. Which is the only Q/C issue I have with either Bret. I was worried there’d be issues with the drop down hips but there isn’t. (But I still hate drop down hips though) All the articulation works and not to loose or tight other than the knees. The knees on both figures in both sets work, but are very tight. As for Bret’s likeness I feel it’s the nose throwing them off. Like it’s to thick or something because all three sculpts look like Bret from the profiles, but straight forward something is off.
Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart - I have no real Q/C issues with either Anvil outside of the upper torso seams being black because they molded it in black instead of flesh tone. There’s also a small chip at the bottom of the back right of the upper torso. Maybe the size of the point of a push pin. Luckily you can’t see it unless you bend the torso forward. Besides the knees being very tight all other articulation is fine. As for his likeness I think they nailed it on all three heads.

I picked up the Ultimate Edition 20 Undertaker yesterday at WalMart. And unfortunately it’s a straight rerelease of his first UE. So if you have that one you don’t need this one.

I didn’t realize Jey was in series 106 so we went back up to Monroe this morning. And Monroe did away with the shipper overnight and put the figures on an end cape. I also didn’t realize that there were two versions of Jey so I picked up both. *thanks to members here informing me that the black pants was a swap so I took it back to Walmart the odd thing was there were 3 Jey figures in the black pants there. lol

Monroe NY had the WrestleMania shipper
today. When I got there around noon all the MNW figures minus 1 Hogan were gone. Also gone were all the Paul Bearer’s, Jey Usos, Pat McAfee’s and the Triple H vs Austin 2-pack.

I picked up the Hogan and a Jimmy Uso from the display and the aisle had a case of B140 so I got the regular Ciampa I had still needed.

And here’s my first receiving of 2024. The Top Picks Cody Rhodes RSC shipped it Friday, but the PO held it in White Plains NY for the holiday instead of delivering in Saturday. As for the figure his right hip is very tight when trying to move it outwards. It looks like there may be some plastic shavings that were stuck in the hip joint. So I think if I remove them it’ll be fine.

My Championship Showdown Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs Triple H arrived today from Amazon. For the most part I like the new basic design except for two things. First is the ankles. They need to have articulation both hinged and rocker so no matter how wide you make their stance you’ll get 100% bottom of the foot contact on the surface. And second is the upper arms are molded in black for the tshirt with the flesh tone being painted on. (Austin’s upper legs are the same)

Triple H - I have no complaints with him.
Stone Cold Steve Austin - I am not sure if they are all like this but my Austin is missing his Texas tattoo…which is a pretty big issue with me.

Rick’s Dog Face Gremlin tattoo? And now looking at reviews it seems like it’s missing on all of them. How does that not get added? He was the Dog Faced Gremlin! So that should have been a given. Even if they didn’t have the rights they could have put any cartoony looking Bulldog shape on the shoulder. Another thing that would have made this figure better was if the game him chest hair like Hall and HBK figures. Mine doesn’t have the best painted eyes (hopefully my second one that’s arriving Monday will) and finally I wish they gave him an alternate head like this…

A mere 370 days after I preordered them my 2 Mattel Creations UE Cody Rhodes figures arrived at my door today. Overall I like it. The tights color doesn’t bother me not being the same shade as WM38, because it still looks gold. My only complaint about Cody itself is I wish the jacket fit more snug in the torso and arms. And my only other complaint is with the UE in general which is like all the new UE’s I hate the drop down hips.

It was the regular and other than the wrist snapping it seems to be pretty sturdy. I do like that they actually spent time to mold the socks and wrist tape instead of just painting them on the wrist and calves.

My Elite Series 101 Cody Rhodes & Elite Series 100 “Stunning” Steve Austin arrived from RSC today.
”American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes - First off I do love the figure, but there’s things that could have made it better. I don’t care for about the tattoo being partially on the head, because once you move the head the gap it creates in the tattoo looks odd. And as we all know the weight belt needs to be redesigned.
And while I don’t think what they used is bad, but if they used the GAB ‘90 Sting’s lower body it would have looked better as those are an actual tights mold. The Cody uses trunks legs molded in blue so there’s no wrinkles in the mold. I mean if you have an actual set of tights legs in your parts library that will work why not use them on guys wearing tights? Still I do love the figure, but that would have put it over the top.
”Stunning” Steve Austin - This is the WCW Austin attire I always wanted. While I do like the figure there’s something about the face that’s off to me. I think the jawline is too round looking instead of angled. Once my second one arrives from Amazon I think I am going to try the Hollywood Blonds Austin’s sculpt on it.
