The latest episode of Tony's podcast talks about working with Bobby Heenan. Has anyone listened to it? I'm afraid it will be full of BS. Bobby Heenan says he hated working with Tony and I believe him. I'm afraid Tony will sugarcoat it. If someone here listened to it, am I wrong?

I haven't heard it yet but yeah watching old WCW tapings you can see that Schiavone treated Heenan like an a**. He basically killed Bobbys enthusiasm for the business and it's sad to see the shell of a man that was once "The Brain."

I don't listen to his podcast really because it isn't well done and I hate that Conrad guy. I was a fan of Tony as a commentator, and I know he has said he has great respect for Bobby and regrets their being issues between them. So I am curious to see what he says and will probably give it a listen.

I listened to it. Tony was very respectful about Bobby and admits fault for their relationship being in the state it is in. He disputes a few things that Bobby said that he thinks he said in anger, but also says that Bobby may have read into things that weren't actually the case.

Bobby and Gorilla are two guys that have a calming effect on me when they speak. Nash and Ice Cube of all people are also on that list. Lol

Tony Schiavone sucked! I don't even know why wwe wanted him after he left wcw in 89. I believe I heard this on the Timeline of WWF 1990 with Bruce Prichard, where he stayed that Tony came into the WWE in 1989 because Linda McMahon wanted him. She felt taking a WCW/NWA lead announcer was a solid hit towards that company. Vince was behind it until he heard Tony talk and he felt Tony was "too southern" for the WWE. Which is shocking since Tony did call two PPV events for the WWE. SummerSlam 89 and Royal Rumble 90.

I always hated Tony Schiavone growing up. He always came across my TV screen as a guy that just didn't want to be there, like he wasn't thrilled with the product. As he got fatter in the late 90s I was wishing for someone to put him out of his misery - who could be so undeserving of a job in wrestling? Then I was introduced to Vince Russo...

I was raised Roman Catholic, Pope John Paul II was the man and the greatest President of all time was JFK. Then I grew a little older and became an Atheist.

Havent listened to the podcast but I enjoyed Tony in WCW. Jim Ross I think was better but Tony to me will always go down as "the voice of WCW". He really didnt fit in WWF at the time and I can see the argument being "too southern" but WCW was rasslin and Tony fit well there. Behind Gorilla & JR I personally think Tony was the best play-by-play man during the 80s & 90s

I don't think Tony was that bad on matches. Look at what WCW gave him. His call of "The YAH-TAY" is classic. One of the worst things about him was every Monday was "The greatest night in pro wrestling". Which he is able to admit now that he was a bit over the top with.

No doubt in my mind Tony will always be the voice of WCW. He's not on my favorite list but he destroys today's announcers.

I listened to the podcast and thought Tony was very respectful about The Brain. I think everyone who hasn't listened to his podcast should give it a chance. Give it a shot ya slapdicks or may Klondike Bill's Kielbasa haunt you forever LOL
