I watched the table for 3 episode with Sarge, Volkoff and Hacksaw.
All billed at 300+ lbs at the height of their respective careers; these aren't little men by any means. But old age makes you shrink and shrivel up. Sarge is all but a giant chin these days, and Volkoff looks small and wrinkly. Yet Hacksaw still looks burly as every, he has paws for hands. I guess he's just "big boned"
Anyone ever met Hacksaw in real life? Is he really imposing?

I've never met him, but you are right with what you are saying. Hacksaw still looks pretty big to this day!

He's a lot bigger in real life than on TV. I met him at Chiller Theater a few years ago in NJ. I didn't want a picture or a signature, I just wanted to ask him a question. He said "Sure!" I asked him about his feud with Andre the Giant, and in particular, this moment:
I asked what kind of injury did he suffer. He said when Andre went to grab his throat, his left thumb accidentally went into his mouth & pushed his gum line from his top teeth. Ick. He went on to say when Andre would wrap his singlet around his neck during their feud, he'd ring the sweat from it into Duggan's mouth & he puked on a few occasions.
I thanked him for answering my question & got a handshake. My hand disappeared in Duggan's. And I have pretty big hands to begin with. He was in a great mood that day & seemed happy to be there.

Duggan is all over the place every weekend. He does a lot of indy shows that keeps him fit and whatnot. He's a great guy.

I saw Hacksaw when I met Sting a few months back I am 6' 5" and although he was sitting behind the table you could tell he was large individual.

I met him about 15 years ago. I used to do work for indie promotions and he worked one of the cards. The only thing I remember about him was he had massive hands. I remember him yelling "put 'er there" and shook his hand. I also remember mentioning his win over Stunning Steve Austin but I can't remember what he said. Long time ago.

He and Hillbilly Jim are still so big and it's really weird seeing them next to guys who wrestled at the same time as them and shriveled up. Reminds me of the Pumping Iron DVD where they have recent interviews with the guys and Ferrigno towers over all these old wrinkly men walking beside him.

Duggan is a tall, stocky man. I've met him a number of times and he's certainly the largest wrestler I've met

I met Duggan outside a bar a few years ago. He's still a big dude and he does indeed have massive hands. I always remember the hands because I got a picture with him while we had a chat and we did the thumbs up/Hooooo thing and his hand looks almost as big as my head.

sarge and volkoff always held fat that slowed them down, hacksaw was a goddam tank that was one of the many amazing talents we got from football throughout the years.
just watch some uwf, where if you weren't 260+ you weren't shit. hacksaw is treated like a god there.
