I realize I'm blind...what am I missing as far as this "smudge" goes? I see the boot not being completed... I bought an elite 19 Punk years ago that didn't have the tats on the back of his left arm and Mattel was nice enough to hook me up with a voucher. Btw, thanks again @heroesandmartyrs for the Punk. Never found him after the one time I found him at retail. I really wanna believe this story happened, but there was no Punk in elite 19 so it's clearly fabricated. |

kennyw86 it's not only paint flaws... Quite frankly the qc issue hasn't improved, but has gotten worse. 4 or 5 years ago I did not receive a figure with a split seam on it's torso. Maybe out of 10 figures 1 or 2 had a flaw. Now it's more or less like 7 or 10 of the figures we buy come with not a small issue, but big issues. I remember the wolfpac Sting coming with a crapload of problems. I returned mine and the other one came with a screwed up leg. Are we supposed to be okay with this? That figure cost me nearly $33, with all of its aesthetic imperfections aside. I wouldn't have been complaining so much if the figure didn't have a painted torso, missing detail on his face paint, wrong logo placements, small torso and arms and to top it off a shirt he never wore in that style. Look, i dont wanna sound like im hapoy things are messed up. And i agree its bad. But it isnt gonna change is all im saying. Like most of us hate reigns getting pushed, but it doesnt change. I just find it easier to accept that it is how it is, thats all. |

so because its a $20 toy its acceptable ro have flaws? lol I guess $20 is hard to come by for some? Expecting a mass produced toy to be flawless is like expecting a Chevy Malibu to be the same quality as a Mustang. You guys are SOOOO cheap it cracks me up! To sum it up. You all expect way too much. Oh and my AJ happens to not have the paint flaws yours does. Bought my in store too. qc happens but what youre saying is that ppl arent allowed to be frustrated. over it because its $20? and yeah im not cheap at all. most of my collection is higher end stuff |

Quality control at Mattel is crazy. The smudge...maybe I could see that. But missing the outline on the boot?! How does something like that happen?

It may not have all the bells and whistles a high end car would but it shouldn't have major flaws. I honestly think you are trying to stir things up. It's kinda embarrassing really. to be fair, the other countries have it worse (Austrailia has to pay over $30 for a single Elite figure) |

I try to spend about a good 10 minutes comparing the same figure with another in a store to determine which is less flawed. However, this is becoming more and more of an utter headache when it comes to purchasing a Roman Reigns figure. Every Wrestlemania 32 Network Spotlight Roman I've bought had patchy tattoos, missing around the inner bicep and forearm. Even when you remove the combat vest, you'll find at least one small patch missing his tattoo detail.
I do sympathise with your Elite AJ problem. Although, it's proven by other members that it's not an uncommon flaw with this release. So I suppose it's one of those things where if it can't be helped, you may just have to try and look past it.

90% of my WWE collection has been bought online but generally I find the QC excellent for a mass produced line.
My Austin Aries part of his tache missing which was unfortunate as I hate the head-sculpt and it needs all the help it can get lol
