Yoko left WWF in 1996... what if he went to ECW? His cousins were friends of Heyman and worked there too as the Samoan Gangster Party in 1996, and it's not as if Yoko did anything after leaving the WWF sans a couple of indy shots here and there. What would have an ECW stint have looked like?
If he came in as a monster heel, he would have faced Shane Douglas, Sabu (that sounds fun) and I imagine some fun matches with Mikey Whipwreck. What do you guys think?

Nothing about this seemed intriguing to me until I thought about a Yoko/New Jack fight.

Yoko was perfect for a Spike Dudley job spot. not sure why that didn't happen even at his heaviest around the Heroes of Wrestling time in 99

The Philly crowd would've been all over him about his weight like they were for Mantaur when he went there as 'Bruiser Mastino''

Only reason Yokozuna left wwf in 1996 was because he was dangerously overweight. I don't think the other 2 would have taken their chances. He may have had a heart attack during a match.
There was a rumor that Hulk Hogan wanted Yokozuna to come to wcw in 1996 so Hogan can have his win back from King of the Ring. Didn't Hogan beat Yokozuna first at wrestlemania 9?

That was Yoko's first pin loss in the WWF.

I thought Yokozuna was still signed with the company when he died. Wasn't there 2 planned returns in 97 and 98?

I think there was hope from WWF for him to return in 1997 or 1998. Jakks toy company put out two different action figures of Yokozuna in 1997-1998 yet his last match was over a year prior. I have to imagine someone in WWF put word to them that there was hope for him to return and the figure would be timely.

I remember a feud with Austin being on the cards at some point, but he couldn't lose the weight.

He did the Heroes of Wrestling event in 99. It was terrible but he was there, heavier than when he was in WWF. If he did ECW it would probably be a one shot.

Could you imagine if they teamed him with The Headhunters & they had a feud with the Triple Threat?

He legitimately might've killed someone.
Some of his Bonzai drops looked like they almost killed a few jobbers.
