To me the original will always be the best version and I hated when he switched to the biker ABA gimmick. The best part of that gimmick was Triple H destroying the bike prior to WrestleMania.

I preferred the Biker gimmick as opposed to the Dean Man. But good god, he was stale. Least until his heel turn. Then he was at his best IMO. I was one of the few that LOVED DDP being the Stalker. I never saw it coming and I was excited to see DDP get such a cool debut. But in retrospect, he shouldn't have started off with Undertaker. Should have been someone a lil lower on the card. Once Taker wasn't a fan, there wasn't much of a chance for DDP in the WWE. There was a story that DDP told Triple H how he had a script to give Taker. Triple H warned DDP not to give it to him cause it wouldn't go over well. DDP insisted Taker would be fine with it and did anyway. From that moment on, DDP was the "Dead Man Walking". What?! How dare you, sir!...I don't even know what to say to that!

I am combining this with the 2001 Taker thread.

But to be fair, I wasn't a fan of the biker gimmick till he turned heel. Once he did that, it made up for his lackluster face run.
